EUSU's biggest event of the year, the SU ball, is coming up on 26th January at the EICC! We are planning to have to potluck beforehand and then everyone can go as a group.

We have a social at 8pm on Friday this week at Finnegan's Wake, an Irish pub at 9b Victoria Street. Everyone is welcome to come along, and there is a sign-up slot for it just to get an idea of numbers. If you can't make it, don't worry, we will be having a curry night social later on, date to be confirmed soon :)
And please note that open mat on Sunday is in St Leonard's Land again and shorter this week, from 9-10.30 am, as another club is using the gym afterwards.

Sunday's open mat session is in the combat zone in Pleasance Gym this week instead of at St Leonard's Land.
Everyone should have membership by now (unless a few of you are still having problems with the Sports Union website) - we will be checking attendees have membership! Let us know if you have any issues.

Most of you should have bought club and gym membership by now, but if not, please buy membership by the end of this week! Make sure to get Peak gym membership and select the non-intramural Sports Union membership. Here's the link again: https://www.eusu.ed.ac.uk/organisation/taekwondo/
Some exciting things coming up in November: on Wednesday 9th November there will be a three-hour long seminar instead of beginner/intermediate classes - all members are encouraged to come along and be prepared to learn a lot! (it will be very active, not like a university seminar where you sit down and listen to it)
And on Wednesday 23rd November there will be the colour belt grading, also at the same time and place as the usual class. Jonathan will be preparing everyone who wants to grade with everything you need to know. For the beginners, you can look up the sequence you have learnt, poomsae 1, called Taegeuk Il Jang, and practise at home (this helpful video shows all poomsae 1 to 8 in order, and there are many others like it).
