Last Saturday evening saw the Clubhouse transformed for our ‘Year of the Fire Horse’ Chairman’s Awards, a fitting theme to mark the end of a truly fabulous 2026 season 🐎

It was wonderful to bring together our players, Members and friends to reflect on the season’s highlights, celebrate outstanding achievements on the field and toast to a remarkable season 🥂

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening so special. Here’s to an incredible 2027 season! 🏆

The Chairmans Tournament, our penultimate tournament, concluded yesterday morning on our last day of the season. It was a victorious AFB/ Shoreline that took the 2026 title after a 9-8 win against Ubunto. The MVP was presented to Sarkis Gabrelian by our Chairman Lt Col Sean O’Dwyer and the Images of Polo BPP was Mara played by Eugenio Imaz.

Team Copi won the Sub Final 8-4 against Mad Dogs. The Fire Horse Cup was won by Cadence/ Pink Power 5-4 against Harum Scarum and the Shadow Dragon Cup was a draw between Asian Art and Book Vault 6-6 after a level fourth chukka.

Congratulations to all of the teams that took part in the tournament 👏 🐎

The Autumn Nations Trophy brought the season to a thrilling close today with the final marking the 648th game we have played at the Club this season. Bajaj claimed victory over FBV Polo in a fast-paced final to lift the final trophy for the season after a 8–5.5 win.

The MVP was awarded to William Emerson and the Images of Polo BPP went to Clementine, played by Pedro Harrison, who once again claimed the honors marking two weeks running after Clementine previously won the title in the Presidents Trophy.

The Sub Final was won by Sarkis Gabrelian’s The Mirror polo team 9-3 against Mei Kwei Lu on The Duke’s Ground earlier in the afternoon.

Congratulations to all the teams that played in today’s finals 👏

What a season it’s been! As we wrap up 2026, it’s time to celebrate the players and teams who made it so special here on Smith’s Lawn with our annual Chairman’s Awards.

🏆Most Useful Umpire:

The most useful umpire for the 2026 season is 4 goal professional Kian Hall, whose professionalism and friendly face to the teams and Club all season has earned him this award.

🏆Best Professional:

Pedro Harrison takes home the Best Professional, playing for Mad Dogs in the low and medium goal over the 2026 season. A team player, win, lose or draw he maintains a professional demeanour that’s earned him respect from teammates and umpires alike.

🏆Most Improved Award:

This award goes to Mack MacCaffrey, who’s given 100% across every level this season. He has played at all levels here at the Club with the House of Woulfe, Mad Dogs, The Mirror, Tchogan and Tempest and always gives 100% on the field. We wish him the very best as he heads off to Argentina and then New Zealand for the off-season.

🏆Best Player off their Handicap:

Yasin Amusan wins this award with his incredible 70% win ratio and Duke of Wellington and Major General’s victories with STL Polo which speak for themselves. His victories in the 2026 season see him go from 0 goals to 1 goal for the 2027 season.

🏆Most Successful Team of the season:

On the trophy front, it was another dominant year for Alan Fall and his . Picking up silverware across the board in 2026 — the Town and County, Valerie Halford Subsidiary, and President’s Trophy Subsidiary with Mad Dogs, the Cottington Cup with Jeremy Pemberton (TEQ Dogs), the Social Cup with Muhummed Jehangiri (Jehangiri Dogs), the Archie David (Caterham Cup) with William Berry (Mad Dogs/St Jean), and the Major General’s Subsidiary with Nick Beitner (Pink Dogs).

This is the final week to discover our wonderful elephant Hopes & Dreams here at the Club 🐘

Our striking elephant, designed by Melissa Hobson-Matthews, is part of the TrunksAcrossTheThames campaign, a spectacular trail of more than 90 beautifully decorated elephants across Windsor, Slough, Eton and Maidenhead.

With four elephants to discover around the Park, it’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy this fabulous ‘Wild in Art’ trail while supporting Thames Hospice and helping raise vital funds for specialist hospice care in the local community.

You can also download the official app to unlock exciting rewards and competitions -there’s even a chance to win four grandstand tickets to next year’s Cartier Queen’s Cup Final too.🐘

What a way to round off the Major General’s tournament, with Stable Cottage lifting the trophy for an incredible eighth time on the penultimate weekend of the season.

Stable Cottage claimed an 8–5 victory over the GM Army Polo Team in today’s final, securing their place in the history of this prestigious tournament once again.

🐎The Images of Polo BPP was presented to Julia and played by Adebayo Karim
⭐️ The MVP was awarded to Yasin Amusan.

The prizes were kindly presented to the teams by Major General James Bowder, Alex Gray and Kira Fowle.

The Sub Final was won after a round robin by the Pink Dogs earlier this morning.

Congratulations to Blenheim, who lifted the President’s Trophy this afternoon following an exciting 8–6 victory here on The Queen’s Ground. With both teams battling hard throughout, it was Blenheim that ultimately secured the win to take home the coveted trophy.

The MVP was awarded to Edward Morris, while the Images of Polo BPP went to Pili Clementina, played by Pedro Harrison.

In the Sub Final, it was who came out as the champions following a closely contested round robin.

Today, on the International Day of Charity, we’re proud to shine a light on the incredible work of the team at Look Good Feel Better UK.

We were honoured to welcome the charity to Guards Polo Club for the delilah Guards Ladies Charity Polo Day, bringing awareness and raising funds to an organisation that makes such a meaningful difference to people living with cancer.

Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising last weekend and helped us celebrate the incredible work of this very special charity and we look forward to updating you all very soon with the total amount raised 💕
