Some good effort today by Elgin table tennis club players.

Elgin table tennis members had a superb group coaching day at Aberdeen Sports Village today, with Alan Cooke, former 6 x England champion, 4 x olympic games and European championship silver medalist.

Elgin Table Tennis Club player Sebastian Malecki won the Watt Cup in Aberdeen on Saturday beating Alexander Stepney of Moray Table Tennis Club in the final 3:1. Both Sebastian Malecki and Elgin tt player Andrew Milne took part and had many wins throughout the day. Some 86 players from all over the north of Scotland attended. The event was a great success credit goes to organisers ADTTA.

Three of our club competed in the Nairn open table tennis competion today organised by international star Murhad Hussain with players entering from as far afield as Aberdeen and Tain. It was a fantastic day and there were generous cash prizes. Our Moray based players Sebastian Malecki came 2nd and Andrew Milne came 4th. Joseph Abbot of Aberdeen took the winners trophy and Alexander McKeachan of Tain took 3rd place.
