🎉 Well done to everyone who took part in the first Junior parkrun & Moray Active Schools Participation League event of 2026/27 at Cooper Park junior parkrun on Sunday 30 August!

🏃 140 runners took part ⭐ 13 first-time runners 🔥 17 personal bests achieved ✅ 109 runners registered to the league

☀️ Summer of Sport 2026 Funding Returning Soon! ⚽🏀🎾

Applications are open to any club or community organisation in Moray that delivers physical activity and/or sporting opportunities for children and young people aged 3 to 26 years. Funding can be used up to 31 March 2027, providing an excellent opportunity to develop and sustain positive outcomes for young people across Moray.

The fund is centred around six key themes: Opportunities, Pathways, Enhancement, Targeted Support, Workforce, and Profile.

📅 Applications close: Sunday 4 October

We're excited to launch another year of the Participation League! 🎉

On the last Sunday of each month, every registered child who completes Cooper Park junior parkrun earns 1 point for their school. Schools compete throughout the year, with trophies awarded in May 2027. 🏅

🚨 IMPORTANT 🚨

✅ parkrun registration = once in your child's lifetime

✅ Participation League registration = every school year

⚠️ All children must register again for 2026/27, even if they took part previously.
