🏐CWAC Safeguarding – Keeping Our Club Safe
At CWAC, we're not just dedicated to excellence on the court, we're equally committed to the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our club off the court too.
From our youngest players to our more experienced (and occasionally more injury-prone 😅) members, everyone deserves to feel safe, supported and welcome at Cheshire West and Chester Volleyball Club.
To help make sure safeguarding concerns can be raised easily and confidentially, we've created a dedicated safeguarding email.

This inbox is checked regularly and is accessible only by our Safeguarding Lead and Club Chair, helping ensure concerns are handled appropriately and confidentially.
If you have a safeguarding concern about something you've seen, heard, experienced, or been made aware of within the club, please let us know as soon as possible.
Don't worry about whether something is "serious enough" to raise, if you're concerned, we'd rather you get in touch.

🎤 Ever wondered what volleyball players actually say on court? 🏐
Well... now's your chance!
We mic'd up a few of our Amazons and Trojans during Whitefield 2026 to give you a behind-the-scenes listen at what really gets said during a match.
From constant encouragement and tactical calls to the odd groan of frustration (we've all been there 🤣), there's so much communication happening that you don't always hear from the sidelines.
So, step beyond the court lines, turn the volume up, and enjoy a glimpse into the conversations that keep the game flowing.
A huge thank you to Mary (Amazons setter), Steffan (Trojans opposite), and Chris (middle/setter) for volunteering to wear the mic and letting everyone hear what goes on during a match.
And a special shout-out to Nicky... who did say yes to wearing the mic, but unfortunately we'd already run out of battery by then! 🤣🔋

🏐 You've seen the costumes... now it's time for the results! 🏐
We're now three days on from Whitefield 2026, and our bodies are 'just about' starting to forgive us... 🤣
So, how did Team CWAC get on?
💙 The Amazons
After storming Division 2 last year and earning promotion, the Amazons stepped up into Division 1 and more than held their own. They worked incredibly hard all weekend, pushed every team close, and reached the Plate Semi-Finals.
A fantastic achievement in a higher division and a brilliant platform to build on for next year. 👏
💛 The Trojans
What a turnaround!
After winning just one game last year, the Trojans came back determined and produced an incredible Sunday, winning three matches in a row before narrowly missing out in the Plate Semi-Finals to the eventual winners.
A huge improvement, an amazing effort, and something everyone involved should be incredibly proud of. 💪
Whitefield is always about more than results. It's about great volleyball, great people, and making memories that last long after the sore legs have gone!
Now it's time for both the Amazons and Trojans to rest up, recover, and get ready for another exciting season ahead.

🍄 Whitefield 2026... done for another year!🏐
What a weekend it was!
We'll have a full tournament roundup coming soon, but anyone who's been to Whitefield knows it's never *just* about the volleyball. Winning is always a nice bonus, but this weekend is all about having fun, making memories, and strengthening the team both on and off the court.
And, of course... fancy dress! 🎭

🏐 Meet the Board Series 🏐
Last but certainly not least, it's me! 👋
For anyone who doesn't know me, I'm the club's Social Media Secretary. While I might be as injury-prone as they come, my enthusiasm for volleyball has never been in doubt!
Having only started playing in 2024, I've loved getting to know the sport, the club, and the amazing people that make it such a great community. This season I've officially taken on the role of Social Media Secretary, helping to share everything that's happening across the club and hopefully encourage even more people to discover volleyball.
Whether it's celebrating our players, promoting sessions, sharing club news, or occasionally trying to come up with volleyball puns, I'll be the one behind the posts.

🏐 Meet the Board Series 🏐
Continuing our Meet the Board series, next up is another one of our Fixture Secretaries for the 26/27 season, Izee Lowry!
Bringing a wealth of experience from their time on the board , Izee has helped organise the fantastic tournaments the league is known for. We're delighted to have them join our board and help keep everything running as smoothly as their events do.
As a libero, Izee is used to making sure everyone is in the right place at the right time and setting the team up for success. With skills like that, we're confident they'll be a huge asset both on and off the court.
We're excited to have Izee as part of the board and can't wait to see the impact they'll make this season.
