First post of 2022 and we’re already near the end of the month 🤭
Make this year a little more about you ❤️
▪️don’t compare yourself to other people
▪️make peace with your past so it won’t disturb your present
▪️have the courage to live a life true to yourself, not what others expect of you
▪️don’t say yes when you really want to say no
▪️what other people think of you is none of your business
▪️exercise isn’t just for your body - find something you enjoy to do and do it often
▪️time heals almost everything
▪️stand up for what you believe in
▪️spend time with those you love, be it friends or family
▪️learn daily
▪️pay attention to the moment
▪️sleep is the most underrated thing you can do, lap it up
▪️no one is in charge of your happiness, except you

How ever you choose to move, just move 🚴🚶♀️🏔🥾 🏊♀️ 💃🏻🧗♀️🏋️♂️🤼♀️🏌️♂️
Don’t copy what your friend does for activity. There are so many ways in which to move and be active, find what you like, can fit your lifestyle and do it often.
You don’t have to run, you don’t have to cycle. If you don’t like them 🤷🏻♀️ fair enough. Unless your goals are specific to that certain activity, you don’t have to do it.
I encourage you to find ways to fit physical activity into your lifestyle that you actually like and enjoy, that way the habit you create will be much more likely to stick.

I love skipping at the minute 🥵 SWIPE for a workout
My clients have probably endured me getting them to skip during sessions as of late.
With Covid restrictions in gyms/social distancing and cleaning of equipment etc, skipping has been an ideal way to get the heart rate up without moving to different bits of equipment whilst improving endurance too.
It’s easy to utilise on its own or in a circuit and you notice improvements quickly. I also love keeping my clients feeling young and who doesn’t feel like their younger self, care free skipping with a rope 😊🥰

Push ups 💪 how many of these have you tried?
Some are harder than others, but my personal faves are decline, close grip and raised leg variations.
Push ups, when executed correctly won’t only work your upper body, but your lower back and core stabilising muscles too.
It’s one of those exercises that you have to persevere with. Getting good at them takes practice and consistency with good form 👌Incline variations work best when beginning so you can work on your core and being in the right position without the full load of your body weight.

Restaurants are back open so we all know Nando’s is a favourite 🐔
Here are the calories for some of the main things on their menu.
Weight loss doesn’t have to be non inclusive. You CAN lose weight and still eat out.
A calorie deficit is key, so being informed whilst eating out helps keep you within a deficit.
