This is a stripped down message, not from our MediaTeam, it’s from a man. A father, a son. A brother. A friend.

Roughly 40% of men will not talk to anyone about their mental health struggles.
Andys Man Club is a group where men can feel open to talk, to listen.
Tonight, come listen to them present what they do around the country to address the stigma of Men’s Mental Health.

Not the best of nights or performances but we go again Saturday against….. oh yer, March AGAIN…

Goal from Alfie Rogers cancelled out March’s opener, but the away side smashed in 3 more to lead by 4 at half time. Another goal early in the second half could have instaigated a rout, one back gave it a lesser scoreline..

Full time at The Demcom, not much to say about that one. Not at the races tonight from the off.. very strange feeling down the ground tonight - flat all round.

We exit the League Challenge Cup.

Alfie Rogers got us the equaliser a minute or so, before March rampaged their way through to half time with three more goals to make it 4-1.

Second half didn’t get any better with March adding another early, before an own goal for us added to the score for 5-2

We go again Saturday …

Full Time at The New Croft, Haverhill and the game finishes 1-1.
An excellent performance from the U18s, who grafted and more than earned a point - which could have been all 3 if not for a bit of luck and taken late half chances.

Haverhill Rovers took the lead on the hour, with Pete Mathews equalising on 82 after some fantastic football opened up the home sides defence.

The young Reds could have won it in injury time as they piled on the pressure, but Mathews, and Billy Walsh were denied.

💬 Andy’s Man Club Showcase Evening

🗓️ Coming up on the 24th of September, we have Andys Man Club Cambridge representatives presenting at the Demcom, in the Robins Sports Clubhouse.

ℹ️ Andys Man Club comes into its 10th year of existence and now has over 365 clubs Uk wide.
Each Monday (except BH) they open their doors to over 7000 men who come along to talk, to listen and to be part of a group of non judgemental men as a support network.

🚪 At the Demcom on the 24th, Andy’s Man Club comes to Ely, to present its plans to open an Ely branch as a part of the regional reach.
If you wish to come along, to see what Andy’s Man Club does, what it’s about and interest in helping start an Ely group - pop down.

☕️ As every Andy’s Man Club - kettle will be on, biscuits on the table and likeminded people around you to listen, share and support.

🟥 Ambassadors of Ely City FC’s mental health team will be in attendance, so maybe a familiar face and club support will encourage you to attend.

⚽️ U18s MATCH DAY - Robins travel to Rovers

Tonight, our young side face Haverhill Rovers in their second league game of the season. After suffering defeat on the road last time out - the Robins will want to come home with their first points!
