My Lauren Gray Yoga wisdom decks have arrived!

I was thinking I’d do an unboxing video but I was so excited that, honestly, only a dolphin would have understood what I was saying. So here they are in pictures.

There was a synchronicity to Lauren launching her new mantra wisdom deck. Mantras are a part of my practice and I’m leaning into them more as I learn Sanskrit and mantras on Laura Green’s Devotion course* This deck is perfect for both, a set of cards each sharing the mantra in IAST and devanāgarī, with a translation, a pronunciation guide, and more information about the mantra.

A delightful, unexpected bonus was the accompanying email from Lauren with pronunciation videos and a mantra playlist to help me learn. I’m already the proud owner of Lauren’s Delphic wisdom deck and knew these decks would be packed with knowledge and oozing with Lauren’s joy of sharing her learning. But this email is like Lauren is sitting with me in practice ❤️

I spotted the Mudra wisdom deck when I was ordering. Mudras are also part of my practice so I made the most of the bundle discount and ordered them too.

I know what I’m doing for the rest of the day!

There’s a shaky egg on my mat which means one thing - kirtan!

Spent a wonderful evening raising our voices and energy in devotion. Extra special to spend it with some of my yoga fam. Five years since we trained together and feel so blessed to have them in my life.

I took my Tarifa mālā with me. It snapped a few weeks back and I’ve restrung it with some thread from my Great Auntie Flo’s sewing box so now it has a beautiful ancestral connection❤️

✨100 days of sādhanā

Sādhanā - Sanskrit - a disciplined, personal practice

A wise soul told me if you want to form a new habit, try it out for 100 days first.

Today is the 100th day of my morning sādhanā - starting the day with mantra, meditation and contemplation. Sure, there’s been days when that’s been a shorter version because life happens. But it’s become how I start the day right, grounded.

I’ve seen some epic sunrises. I’m keeping it real with the beautiful autumn weather this morning. And the sun is still there, as it is everyday.

I’m between blocks on my regular in person Monday class so I took the opportunity to catch up on this month’s Solar Soul class with Laura Green Yoga Scorpio season 🦂

Throwback to a glorious September week retreating in Tarifa with Laura Green Yoga

You can’t help notice the elements in Tarifa: the hot sun, big skies, the rocky earth, the ocean, and the ever-present Lavanter wind that draws all the kite surfers. They permeate every yoga practice.

Throw into the mix views of the African coast, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, nourishing food, sea swimming, Piña the dog, Luna the horse, and beautiful souls to share this all with and it makes a really special week.

Could this be the last outdoor yoga this year?
