Wedding Celebrant - Penny Ibbott

Melissa and Tyran got married in Amberley Castle near Arundel.  these two were clearly meant for each other. They were kindred spirits - had developed a lovely, fulfilling relationship. Here is part of the poem ‘Love’ by Roy Croft, which they asked me to read during their ceremony:-

I love you
For the part of me
That you bring out;
I love you
For putting your hand
Into my heaped-up heart
And passing over
All the foolish, weak things
That you can't help
Dimly seeing there,
And for drawing out
Into the light
All the beautiful belongings
That no one else had looked
Quite far enough to find

What beautiful things to be able to say about the one you love...

This is Amy and James Stutchbury - their wedding was at the Tournabury Golf Centre on Hayling Island - the ceremony took place on a pleasant grassy space just by the sea.

The couple had a great sense of humour. When we met up before the wedding, they told me how they had met, what they first thought of each other, and how their relationship had progressed until they fell in love.

During the wedding service I brought out some of the expressions they’d used. This not only added a personal touch - it also caused a lot of (affectionate) laughter among the guests.

I love getting to know the couples I meet and it’s always a joy to help make their special day happy and unique.
