After the frustration of last weekend's rain, we're back in Herts Cricket League action tomorrow and will be looking to bring home another 60 points!

Our 1s host Lutonian in Division 4B, whilst our 2s make the trip to Cheshunt Rosedale Cricket Club in Division 10 East!

Congratulations to Garry Orton, who is set to make his 1,000th appearance for the club at Cheshunt Rosedale Cricket Club - an unbelievable achievement!

Thanks to Allan Jones for umpiring for our 1s and to Jess Lessiter for scoring for our 2s!

Don't forget that we will also be hosting our Quiz Night tomorrow, so why not come up to watch the conclusion of our 1s' match, before partaking in a thoroughly enjoyable night of quiz action?

The weekend will then conclude with the visit of South Loughton to Strayfield Road on Sunday!

Go well tomorrow everyone - see you back at Strayfield Road in the evening, hopefully with another 60 points in the bag!

Despite the rain last weekend, our Friendly XI's game against Highgate Taverners still led to considerable movement in our Fantasy League!

It's bunching up at the top of the leaderboard, with Johnny Greenfield jumping above Oliver Munt into first place!

Johnny leads Oliver by eight points, with Steve Gandy only 38 points off the lead!

Garry Orton accumulated the most points on the pitch, with his 51 seeing him collect 71 points!

Well done to all of our top five performing managers and players last weekend!

Well done to everyone named in our Team of the Week, following the latest weekend of action at Strayfield Road!

Given Saturday's rain, our Friendly XI were the only side in action, when they took on Highgate Taverners on Sunday!

This means that our Team of the Week is entirely made up of our Friendly XI from this match, however - there were some brilliant performances!

Most noticeably, Garry Orton made 51, whilst the wickets were shared around our attack!

Congratulations also to Gene Attwell and Abdullah Hossain for their respective milestones!

Gene claimed his first wicket and dismissal, with Abdullah picking up his first dismissal as well!

Well done to everyone who turned out for our Friendly XI on Sunday - hopefully, the weather allows for a full weekend of fixtures this time around!

💚💛 Green and Gold Player of the Weekend! 💚💛

Congratulations to Garry Orton, who has been named our Green and Gold Player of the Weekend!

Garry made 51 in our Friendly XI's defeat to Highgate Taverners at Strayfield Road on Sunday, anchoring our innings and providing some stability after a couple of early wickets!

His half-century also saw him compile 71 points in our Fantasy League!

Well batted Garry and thanks to the Green and Gold Garden Company for sponsoring this award!

We’ve entered the Toyota UK Good for Cricket Prize Draw once again and are looking to raise funds to continue to keep Strayfield Road in perfect condition!

As a family and community focused club, your donations make such an impact and help us to keep facilitating cricket for everyone!

Thanks so much to everyone who donated last year and please do so once again, if you can!

Don’t forget that a few of our members experienced first hand the benefits of entering the prize draw last year, in the form of a bowling masterclass with Sarah Glenn and Mark Wood!

This Saturday is our first social event of June, with Strayfield Road hosting our Quiz Night!

Starting at 7:30 pm, it will be a quiz with a twist, featuring fun trivia questions, scavenger hunt rounds and more!

There will also be other games to get involved with, including 'Heads or Tails' and 'Play your Cards Right'!

Tickets will cost £6 for adults, whilst children will go for free!

It promises to be a brilliant evening, so it would be great to see as many club members and their guests as possible!

Anyone who plans to attend should also feel free to pop up and watch the conclusion of our 1s' Herts Cricket League encounter with Lutonian in Division 4B, before the quiz starts!

Hopefully, we'll see you all there at Strayfield Road on Saturday!

After a disappointing weekend weather wise, hopefully all three of our sides can get back out on the pitch this time around!

In the Herts Cricket League, our 1s are scheduled to host Lutonian at Strayfield Road in Division 4B, with our 2s facing a trip to Cheshunt Rosedale Cricket Club in Division 10 East!

Saturday's fixtures will be followed by our Quiz Night, with more information coming in a separate post later today!

Alongside junior training on Wednesday and senior training on Thursday, our U15s are set to take on Harpenden Cricket Club at Enfield tomorrow, with our U10s travelling to Shenley Village Cricket Club on Thursday!

The weekend will then conclude with the visit of South Loughton to Strayfield Road on Sunday!

Following this weekend's washout, hopefully we can build upon the momentum gained from the previous weekend's trio of victories!

Saturday's rain meant that our Friendly XI's match against Highgate Taverners was the only game to go ahead across the weekend!

Our 1s' and 2s' fixtures against Flamstead Cricket Club and Old Camdenians respectively were both cancelled!

Unfortunately, our Friendly XI suffered a 72 run defeat to Highgate Taverners at Strayfield Road, despite a spirited performance!

A solid effort with the ball saw the hosts post 213 - 8, before we made 141 - 8 in reply!

Well batted Garry, who made 51, and also Adam, who compiled a quickfire 28!

Well done to everyone who played yesterday! Hopefully, the weather will be much better next weekend!
