Sadly, the final weekend of the 2026 season is here already 😢 , but at least there's still two games left!

Botany Bay Cricket Club visit on Saturday in the Turkey Brook derby, before our season rounds off with a fixture against Epping on Sunday at Strayfield Road!

With one weekend of the season left, it would be great to see as many club members as possible at Strayfield Road over the course of the weekend!

Hopefully, we can finish on a high with a couple of victories!

Another successful weekend for our Friendly XI, who made it four wins in a row and four wins from four in our post-league season friendlies!

On Saturday, we defeated Newham Cricket Club by one wicket in a thrilling encounter at Strayfield Road!

We fought back well with the ball and in the field to drag the visitors back from 85 - 0 to 161 all out, before just getting over the line with the bat!

Well done to Jack Rivers, who picked up his first wickets for the club (3 - 5) and anchored our run chase with his maiden North Enfield half-century (54)!

Meanwhile, we also defeated our good friends North Weald Cricket Club on Sunday at Strayfield Road!

Well batted DB, who made 77 on his Birthday 🎉, as well as Ben Shearly (51*), who notched up his maiden half-century for the club! KJ also made another 50, as we racked up 253 - 3 from our 35 overs!

It was then good to be able to mix things up a bit in the field and give overs to some part-time bowlers, as the season nears its conclusion!

Well done to everyone who turned out for us over the weekend and thanks to Jess, Hannah and Ben for scoring across the weekend!

Our Friendly XI are back in action tomorrow, as we enter the penultimate weekend of the season!

Newham Cricket Club and North Weald Cricket Club visit this weekend on Saturday and Sunday respectively!

Hopefully, we can build upon last weekend's victories and make it four in a row for the Friendly XI!

Oliver Munt appears to now be pulling away in our Fantasy League, with his lead up to 572 points and only two weekends of the season remaining!

The battle for second is still well and truly alive between Andy Corgan and Abbie Jones though, whilst Johnny and Ben Greenfield keep toing and froing in fourth and fifth!

Well done also to our top five performing players from our Friendly XI's two victories against Newham Cricket Club and Salmagundi Gardeners!

Although the title seems to have already been wrapped up, our MVP is still yet to be decided and there is plenty to play for across the next two weekends!

Well done to everyone named in our Team of the Week, following a couple of outstanding wins for our Friendly XI!

Due to the dominant nature of our seven and six wicket wins against Genesis and Salmagundi Gardeners respectively, there were some brilliant displays on both Saturday and Sunday!

Well done to everyone included and sorry to those who missed out, given the competitive nature of selecting the team this time around!

Congratulations also to those who achieved milestones for the club last weekend and in the preceding weeks!

A couple of milestones that we need to catch up on are Kieran Jones reaching 1,000 runs this season in late August and Garry Orton affecting his 350th dismissal in early September!

Well done KJ and Garry - a couple of seriously impressive milestones!

Congratulations to Atula Tilakaratna, who made his 50th appearance for the club on Saturday, as well as to Jack Rivers, who made his first on Sunday!

His four catches and 36* also saw him take his maiden catches and score his maiden runs for the club!

All in all, it was a fantastic weekend for our Friendly XI, which we will look to back up against Newham Cricket Club and North Weald Cricket Club this time around!

💚💛 Green and Gold Player of the Weekend! 💚💛

Congratulations to Richard Sanders, who has been named our Green and Gold Player of the Weekend!

'Colonel' rolled back the years with 4 - 24 in our Friendly XI's comfortable six wicket win over Salmagundi Gardeners, which was his second four wicket haul of the season!

Remarkably, all four of his wickets were caught by debutant Jack Rivers at cover, whilst his spell helped us bowl the visitors out for a well under-par 110!

His exploits with the ball also saw him earn 60 points in our Fantasy League!

Well done once again to Richard and thanks to the Green and God Garden Company for sponsoring this award!

We can now confirm the date for our annual Dinner & Dance!

It's always a wonderful evening and this year is taking place on Saturday 14th November! We love being able to reflect on the season with our members and their families, as well as handing out the season's awards!

The bar will be open, whilst tickets are £30 per person, with families of three or more people being able to purchase them at the slightly discounted rate of £25 per person!

For any members who want to attend, please contact Nick Munt to book your tickets!

We would love to see as many club members as possible attend this brilliant event and join us to celebrate another eventful season at Strayfield Road!

Let the countdown begin - we look forward to seeing you all there in a couple of months time!

We've got a couple more friendlies to look forward to this weekend at Strayfield Road!

On Saturday, we welcome Newham Cricket Club for the first time since 2024, before North Weald Cricket Club visit for our annual end of September fixture!

Hopefully, we can continue our good form from this weekend!

Our first weekend of post-league season friendlies was both very enjoyable and successful, with a couple of comfortable victories at Strayfield Road!

Our Friendly XI defeated Genesis by seven wickets on Saturday, chasing 160 with 9.3 overs to spare!

It was a solid all-round performance, with a brilliant display with the ball followed by a dominant chase with the bat!

There was more of the same on Sunday, as our Friendly XI swept aside Salmagundi Gardeners by six wickets!

Well done to Richard Sanders, who claimed figures of 4 - 24, as we bowled the visitors out for just 111!

His four wicket haul was his second of the season, whilst a particularly unique aspect of it was that all four wickets were caught by debutant Jack Rivers at cover, including one spectacular diving effort!

Well done also to Jack on his fine debut, which saw him finish off the run chase with 36*, as we won with 14 overs to spare!

A great weekend of cricket and two outstanding victories! We've now only got three fixtures remaining this season, so hopefully we can finish with five wins in a row!

We're into our first weekend of post-league season friendlies, with a couple of matches at Strayfield Road!

Abbie Jones leads our Friendly XI tomorrow, as Genesis visit for the first time since 2024!

This game has the slightly earlier start time of 12:30!

Our Friendly XI will then host Salmagundi Gardeners on Saturday, with this game starting as usual at 13:00!

Congratulations to Jack Rivers, who is set to make his debut for the club on Sunday!

Go well this weekend everyone - let's try and finish the season with five wins from five!
