The penultimate race in the 2026 MABAC League saw us hosting at Nonsuch. As hosts we had a great team of marshals out volunteering (thank you all very much!) and then a further 75 runners representing team Oddballs!

With just one race left to go at Wisley we sit at the top of the table. One final push in November to retain our title 🤞

The last two weeks have seen our members taking part in Mandy Oldfield “Around the World” challenge.

Points were scored at a rate of 1 point per km, 1 point per 30m elevation gain, 5 points for carrying a souvenir from somewhere in the world (one country per team), running club sessions, running in the rain and running the Cross country. It finished with one big fancy dress Finale at Metropolis Epsom with our usual groups runs.

In total the teams covered over 4000km, in excess of 40,000m elevation gain and “visited” over 120 countries!

A HUGE thank you to Mandy for arranging us all, what a fantastic addition to the club calendar and one that everybody throughly enjoyed whilst encouraging us all to run just that little bit more!

Cross Country is back!

Race 1 of the season took us to Reigate with the Ladies taking on their first season in Division 2 and the Men in Division 4.

Our strongest attendance for many years saw us finish 4th in the Men’s race, just 7 points off 3rd place so it’s definitely all to play for with 3 races to go.

We believe our Ladies have finished 9th in Race 1, although the league are still finalising their scores from Reigate after a change from a full team of 5 to 7 now. This is a very solid start to life in a higher division.

This is a season where every point truly counts so lets give these next 3 races our all. Come on team Oddballs!

Our Around the World Club Challenge kicked off today and we had a bumper turnout for our Thursday group runs.

Which team will win the two week challenge? Northern Flights, eastyJet, Runaway Airlines or Air Force Run?

Good luck everybody!
