🐴 LOAN OPPORTUNITY – POMMY 🐴

Pommy | 16.2hh Dutch Warmblood | 16-year-old mare

We are looking for an experienced, competent rider for our lovely Pommy. ❤️

Pommy is a sweet mare who absolutely loves attention and a fuss. She particularly enjoys hacking and is a talented horse in the school, although she can be a little opinionated at times, so she needs a confident and competent rider when schooling.

✨ Loan details:
• Flatwork only
• 18+ riders only
• Experienced rider required
• To remain at her current yard
• Opportunity to enjoy regular riding and build a partnership with Pommy
• Discounted lessons available at Priory Place Equestrian
• No hidden costs

The loaner may be required to help with some of Pommy’s day-to-day care, including bringing her in, turning her out, grooming and tacking up, so you must be confident and competent with these aspects of horse care.

A contract will be in place, and an assessment lesson is required before any loan agreement is made.

We are looking for someone who will genuinely enjoy getting to know Pommy and become a trusted part of her routine. ❤️

🐴 SCHOOLING LOAN OPPORTUNITY — MEET CHARLIE 🤍

Meet Charlie, a handsome 12-year-old, 16.1hh grey gelding with the sweetest nature. Charlie is a real gentleman and a big softie who absolutely loves attention, grooming and being pampered. He’s a lovely horse to spend time with both on and off the ground.

Charlie is looking for a confident, relaxed and caring rider to enjoy their riding journey with him and continue developing their flatwork.

✨ Please note: Charlie does NOT jump and is available for flatwork/schooling only.

🐎 Loan Details

• 1, 2 or 3 loan days per week
• Monday–Friday only
• Days can be flexible/adjusted where possible
• Charlie must remain at our yard
• Full livery — no yard duties required

If your riding time overlaps with the yard routine, you may simply need to bring Charlie in from the field.

🧼 What’s expected from his loaner

As part of the loan, you’ll be expected to:

• Bring Charlie in from the field
• Give him a thorough groom before and after riding
• Pick out his feet before and after riding
• Store his tack safely and correctly
• Clean his tack when required
• Provide appropriate aftercare depending on the weather — for example, using a cooler rug after exercise or hosing/sponging him off during warmer weather before putting on a cooler

💷 Loan contributions go towards Charlie’s feed, hay, bedding and general yard costs.

There are no hidden costs, with the exception of lessons with our yard coaches should you wish or require them. There’s also a discount for lessons included.

A loan contract will be in place for everyone’s peace of mind.

🐴 LOAN OPPORTUNITY – SHIRLEY 🐴

We have a lovely opportunity for the right rider to loan Shirley, a 7-year-old mare standing at 14.3hh.

Shirley is a green mare, so we are looking for a confident rider, preferably a young adult, who has experience working with and developing young horses. Due to her size and type, there is a 10 stone weight limit.

The loan would be for 3 months, with Shirley remaining at her current yard. There is the option to ride once or twice a week, with the loan focusing on schooling and flatwork only. A contract will be in place for the duration of the loan.

All potential riders will have an assessment lesson with one of our instructors before being matched with Shirley, ensuring that the partnership is suitable for both horse and rider.

There are also some great benefits to being based at the yard, including discounted lessons, fully qualified instructors onsite for support and guidance when needed, and the school available to hire.

This could be a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain experience and confidence while developing a young horse with support around them.

⭐️ New instructor ⭐️

Freya is a 19-year-old equestrian with a passion for helping riders better understand their horses under saddle. For the past three years, she has been studying at an equine college, gaining extensive knowledge in all aspects of horse care, management, and riding. She owns four horses of her own and aspires to compete in eventing with her main horse in the future.

Freya has been kindly offered the opportunity by Romy to complete her coaching qualifications at Priory Place Equestrian. She is excited to begin coaching and looks forward to sharing her knowledge, building riders’ confidence, and helping both horse and rider develop together.
