When you start each day with positivity, you feel physically stronger, more relaxed, and able to face the day’s challenges with patience, perseverance, and thoughtful responses ❤️

Try these positive strategies to help you get ready for your day.

1. Smile at yourself in the bathroom mirror. Acknowledge one of your positive characteristics ("I'm cute, funny, perky, quirky, caring, or hard-working).

2. Reflect on what's important to you today. Do this while you're in the shower or brushing your teeth. For example, "I want to have a good meeting at work" or "My kids need to have a great morning before school."

3. Vow to discover new things.
You'll notice new people and engage wholeheartedly in life today.

4. Feel gratitude for your good health. Your body takes care of you. Promise to take loving care of it.

5. Take 10 minutes to meditate.
Close your eyes. Concentrate on the sound of your breath flowing in and out.

6. Drink 2 full glasses of water to get your internal organs working. Doing so will help you avoid feeling sluggish.

7. Have a healthy breakfast.
Include fruit and protein. Food is your fuel, so fuel up for the day!

8. Embrace the beauty of the new day. Allow time to get ready for your day without feeling rushed.

Using these strategies will help you start your day from a place of inner peace and control. Each new day is a gift and an opportunity to start afresh. These strategies will help you to make the most out of each day. Let us know how you find them below.

Change can feel overwhelming and scary, even if we want it! 😳

The problem is, nothing changes if nothing changes! Something has to change, or your life will never change. Everything stays the same in the physical world until you do something that creates a ripple. Then, everything can change.

Consider these ideas to direct your life where you want it to go:

* Realise that you’ll never have 100% of the information you’d like to have. The military teaches their special forces units to act when they have 70% of the possible information. Seventy percent is easy to obtain in real life, but 100% is essentially impossible. If you need all the information, you’ll never do anything.

* Thinking about doing something is more exhausting than actually doing it. Have you ever noticed than when you finally did something you’ve been avoiding that it was surprisingly easy?

* Set a deadline. Deadlines are wonderful for narrowing your focus. Create a deadline and stick to it, no matter what!

* Visualise success. If you’re having a hard time pulling the trigger, one of two things is going on: You’re either dreading the work, or you don’t believe you’ll be successful. The antidote is to regularly visualise success.

* Take a small step. If you’re struggling to do anything, just do something. A little bit of momentum might be all you need.

*Reject instant gratification. Instant gratification is a trap. A long-term perspective energises action.
A short-term perspective results in more stalling.

If you’re more of a planner than a doer, this is the reason that you’re not making as much progress as you’d like. Things only change when you take action.

All hesitation is based on fear. It’s might be fear of making the wrong choice, fear of failure, or fear of doing something uncomfortable. Wasting your life should be an even bigger fear.

Avoid the regret that comes from not living your life fully. Start living today!

Life isn’t always what you expect it to be, is it?

When the results you hope for don’t manifest themselves, this can sometimes leave you questioning your self-worth and abilities. It's easy to fall into that trap of discouragement.

The good news is that you can also get yourself right out of that low mood!

Whenever you’re down in the dumps, it's important that you take action to start feeling better about yourself. Dwelling on the negative and remaining in a depressed state is unhealthy. After a while, you’ll feel like you’re moving backward instead of forward. This makes it challenging to get back to a positive mindset.

Try these easy tips to restore your belief in you:

1. Reflect on past successes. If you're honest with yourself, you'll begin to realise that you've enjoyed many successes in the past. Reflect on how great you felt when you earned something you worked extremely hard for.

2. Know that you're uniquely created. You have a special blend of talents, abilities, personality, appearance, and purpose that is different from everyone else on the planet. There is no one else like you and that’s a wonderful thing! Remember times in the past when you came up with your own solution to a challenge that made things better for you or those around you.

3. Do something you're good at. A sure way to boost how you feel about yourself is to do something you already know you're good at. Having even a small success is a great way to build reassurance and focus on the positive.

4. Make someone else feel special. Making a positive impact on someone else's life is one of the most empowering and uplifting experiences you can have!

Try not to dwell on the negative feelings you might have about yourself. Instead, celebrate all the great qualities you have inside and share those with the world. Take the time to reflect on your blessings and you'll begin to see for yourself how amazing and special you really are.

When you feel overwhelmed, it can be very challenging to focus on solutions and take the necessary steps to resolve the situation. However, focus and action can ultimately solve most negative situations in your life.

Many of us are prone to worrying and then doing silly things to make ourselves feel better. This doesn’t solve the issue. It just avoids it temporarily.

Take these steps to create a plan and go from feeling overwhelmed to feeling peaceful again:

1. Identify what is under your control. Determine what you can control and place your attention there.

2. Focus on solutions. Time and attention spent on solutions is the best way to navigate through this.

3. Create a strategy. Make a plan for putting your solution into action.

4. Get your rest. It’s important to get your rest and relax as much as possible.

5. Eat well. Maintain good nutrition during this challenging time.

6. Remind yourself that there is good in your life. Be grateful for what you have - You probably have more than you realise.

7. Blow off some steam. Exercise, a night on the town, or a good party might be just what you need to burn up that extra energy.

8. Celebrate your successes. Even a little progress is worthy of celebration. This is highly motivating. One success leads to another.

9. Get help. Ask for help and see what happens.

Overwhelm is an emotion everyone is familiar with. It can be debilitating if you fail to address it properly. Focus on solutions and put your time and energy on the right things. Worrying only makes you feel worse and makes you less capable.

Release and Relax Yoga Classes will be Online every Tuesday at 6pm.

Jo has a personal approach, which means everyone has a Free 30 Minute One-to-One Discovery Class with her before joining the group classes so she can understand your needs better and help you to get the best out of the group classes.

You also receive a replay of each class for you to watch and practice again and Jo also check's in with you between classes to see how you’re doing and how you’re feeling,
