One of the loveliest things about visiting Allerford is that you don’t have to go far to find peace in nature…

So we’ve created two self-guided walks, starting right here at the tea room, to help you discover it for yourself ☺️

🌼The Village Explorer -
A gentle wander through the heart of Allerford - perfect for learning some of the history and charm of the village, taken in at your own pace

🌲 The Fountain & Forest-
A peaceful walk following the river and winding through woodland, with Agnes Fountain along the route. Ideal for a quiet moment, take in the beautiful views, or as a post-cream tea stroll 🌿

These walks are all about slowing down, taking a moment, and discovering the little corners of Allerford you might otherwise miss.

Well what a night, that was some rain !! Fair play to our 2 campers, I think I need to ask them the make of their tents !!!

Well it’s been a long time so I thought it about time I sat down and did a post to keep you up dated.
As some of you know Roger hasn’t been very well for the past 18months, but he’s back on the mend now so hopefully getting back to normal. Due to this we’ve had to change the fire wood situation. If we could ask you to bring your own as we don’t have the time at the moment to log and bag it.
There is a lot of dead wood about for collection, but a bag of dry is a good idea.

The shower is up and running, currently she’s sharing with washing due to the amount of Swallows and House Martins who are insisting on using it as target practice!

We have a flush loo out in the main meadow and the one by the house ( this one is currently occupied by a family of sparrows nesting!)

We are just finishing off the den, she’s located down in the woodland with a stream running by, with a fire pit and is closely accessible for a vehicle. Gated and naturally screened for privacy, for 2 with double bed and wood burner.
I’ll get some pics up soon.

The hedges are bursting at the moment, as is the woodland with new life.

The sun is shining peeps, come and enjoy a quiet weekend chilling, pop your beer/wine (or toes!) in the stream and sit back and enjoy a campfire in the evening taking in what is around you.

This set up was amazing, thank you Defender Campers for coming to visit us.

Dawning all! Blue hues for a baby cactus.. FOR SALE this tiny pot is £14 today after a mammoth two week deep isolation of sore thumbs have produced eighteen pots for orders and now am working in a new sign for blue flag ceremony!
