Congratulations to Lyn Shackleton and Richard Matthews for winning a very close encounter 7-5, 7-6 against Nikki Hanson and Malcolm Jones for the 2022 Mixed Doubles title (just in time before this year’s event gets underway 😂)🏆 🎾

Congratulations to 2022’s Men’s Doubles Champions Stephen Oryszczuk and Pete Jones who produced a stunning comeback from 1-5 down to defeat Philip Arthur and Richard Matthews 7-5, 6-3 in the final. They’ll share custody of the M Welsh Catering Services trophy for the next couple of months until the 2023 champs are crowned! 🏆 🎾

A good week for the Mixed A team, as they followed up Thursday’s 8-0 victory at home versus Sidmouth B with a hard fought 6-4 win away at Tiverton A on Sunday morning, coming from 3-2 down after the first match-ups, taking the last four sets in style - including a bagel and championship tiebreak from Nikki and Rich to secure the win after Jen and Dave had bounced back with a straight sets victory 👏 👏

Well done to the Ladies A team who kicked off their Summer 2023 campaign with a well earned and respectable 4-4 draw away 👏

Congratulations to the Mixed A team who with an 8-0 victory over Kingsteignton on a chilly Thursday evening have secured top spot on the leaderboard. Undefeated with 11 wins, the A team have claimed the Division 3 title and earned promotion to Division 2 next season. Great effort team 🏆🙌🏻👏🏻💪🏻

Teign Valley A did well to hold their nerve and pick up a 5-4 victory against Tiverton A at home last night. A friendly match with some great tennis, lots of running, well fought rallies and the occasional bat 🦇🎾 Teign Valley A have won 10 out of 10 matches and are now in a strong position to take the Division 3 title 🏆

Congratulations to the Ladies A team who played against Sidmouth B on Monday evening and came away with their first win of the season in a tough Division 1. 💪🏻🙌🏻 Playing away at Sidmouth under the bright lights in hazy conditions, the team showed huge effort and determination to win a hard fought and well earned 5-4 victory. Well played team 👏🏻🤩
