I know it has been a while since we have posted but we're back with a bang! There's 3 different events coming up in the next week for you to sink your teeth into. This includes a demonstration to pique your interest, a stand at the Fresher's fair to interrogate our committee, and even a chance to test your cubing skills at our taster session

We are so excited to meet our future members. Our first official year as a society as a lot in store so keep an eye on our page. The link to our membership is in our bio if you're interested

Mere hours after our exciting announcement I bring sad news... the event has been cancelled 😔 Unfortunately our President struggled with bookings and the only times available clashed with previous arrangements. The good news is, as we are rescheduling we will be slightly more prepared for next time

Hello there (general cubers)! We are very excited to announce our first Term 3 event: a casual competition.
You receive:
- Friendship
-Fun
-No snacks (that paperwork is a level of organisation we have not achieved, but feel free to bring your own).
There may or may not be a reward for whoever comes first 😎

Keep an eye out for us at the next Freshers' Fair, as we plan to have a very similar setup to our Forum event!

Yes it is! We will be at the forum tables tomorrow all day. We're hoping to get as many people interested as possible, so feel free to come along! We promise to go full fledged nerd immediately...

At different times all the members of the committee will be there, as well as some other members of our society so come say hi

Since I know this is other one you've all been waiting for, finally introducing our social sec (that's me)
-
I'm Keira (she/her, the overlap between females and cubers is small, but we exist). I love reading, music (I'm a swiftie at heart) and cats. I've only been cubing since last Spring so I only solve 3×3 but I've made a lot of improvements in that time. I'll be running the socials this year
-
So that is the committee introduced! Hopefully we'll run some events soon, in the meantime, I'll be using our stories to show off our society's cubing progress so stay tuned 👀

Introducing our treasurer
-
I’m Ewan (he/him), I’m a second year maths student who’s into Football, guitar and of course solving cubes. I’ve been cubing for about 3 years and mostly focus on solving larger or wackier cubes rather than the speed cubing side of it.
-
Swipe to see all the different types of cubes Ewan has! It shows you that you don't have to focus on solving a cube in the quickest time, and there are plenty of different types of cubes

It is time to introduce our committee.

Ben Hooper is our president and his favourite cubing events are 3×3, 3BLD and 2x2. He studies maths and likes "breathing, food, music and more" (more includes saying zoinks unironically). He dislikes "people standing still on escalators". Unfortunately our Ben lives in the Stone age so you can't find him on any social media, but he is very active in our WhatsApp group.
-
Keep an eye on our page as we introduce the rest of the committee over the next few days 👀
