I hope you are all well and had a lovely half term.
I wanted to send a quick update regarding classes for the next half term.
Firstly, I apologise for the delay in sending this message.
As many of you may already know, Miss Rachel is taking some time away from teaching to focus on her health. We are very fortunate to have the wonderful Miss Taylor covering our Monday classes at Rockbeare and our Saturday classes at Blundell’s, Tiverton. She will also be sharing the Friday classes at Marsh Green with Miss Gemma.
Our Tuesday classes will be covered by Miss Kayla, Miss Louise, Miss Gemma and Maybe Miss Rachel if she is feeling up to it.
Due to balancing both personal and work commitments, Miss Kayla and Miss Louise have had to make a small adjustment to the Tuesday timetable for this half term. The revised class times will be:
• 4:00–4:45pm – Pre Primary
• 4:45–5:30pm – Grade 2
• 5:30–6:15pm – Grade 3
• 6:15–7:00pm – Lyrical/Contemporary
I sincerely apologise for the short notice and appreciate your understanding. We have explored every possible option to keep the class times unchanged; however, unfortunately this has not been possible.
Thank you all for your continued support and flexibility.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Every show year, Miss Jackie asks whether her Dance for Parkinson’s class can be part of the MP Dance Academy show, and I say yes without hesitation. It is truly an honour and a privilege for MPDA to work alongside the incredible men and women from Miss Jackie’s wonderful Parkinson’s dance class.
Each show year, Jackie choreographs the most powerful and deeply emotional routine. There is never a dry eye in the theatre when they take to the stage. Our students are always so excited to be partnered with members of Dance for Parkinson’s Exeter—it becomes a core memory for them, and I hope just as meaningful for the Parkinson’s dance group too. The experience brings immense joy to everyone involved.
Thank you to Miss Jackie and everyone at Dance for Parkinson’s Exeter for this incredible opportunity. It is a beautiful reminder that dance truly is for everyone, and it fills my heart every single time.

The biggest Happy Birthdays to Miss Louise! She is the glue that holds MP Dance Academy together. What would we do without her!
We hope you have a wonderful day and you are spoilt rotten.
We all love you so much! .louloupilates

I can honestly say I could not have done any of this without my teachers. From Miss Jackie, who choreographs the most wonderful routines every single time with our Parkinson’s dancers; to Miss Gemma, who plans the most creative and thoughtful routines; to Miss Louise, who runs around the theatre like a mad woman making sure everything is sorted and runs smoothly (which it always does) and choreographing the most beautiful and emotional solo pieces and to poor Miss Rachel, who joined us so recently and somehow managed to choreograph over 15 routines in such a short space of time. I am beyond grateful for the time, effort, and heart she poured into the show—they were absolutely amazing.
I am just so incredibly grateful to have every single one of them.

Oh my goodness—today has been one of those days where everything just hits at once. I want to say the biggest thank you for the overwhelming kindness: the beautiful flowers from so many wonderful boutiques, the handmade card I will treasure forever, and breakfast so thoughtfully brought in for us. Thank you to everyone for being so incredibly thoughtful. I am truly grateful—no words, just tears of pure happiness. 🤍

To my incredible MP Dance Academy family,My heart is absolutely full after witnessing the talent and dedication on stage at this year’s showcase.
To our amazing students: You were, quite simply, the stars of the show. Beyond the perfect extensions and the synchronized steps, what moved me most was your courage. I have watched you spend months in the studio pushing through challenges, mastering difficult choreography, and supporting one another when things got tough. To see that hard work transform into such confidence and joy on stage is why I do what I do. Whether it was your first time under the lights or your final performance as a senior, you performed with heart, grace, and professionalism. You should be so incredibly proud of yourselves—I know I am!
To my phenomenal teaching team: A massive thank you for your vision and your tireless energy. You don’t just teach dance; you mentor these young people and help them find their voices. I am so proud to work alongside such talented and dedicated professionals.
To our families and friends: Thank you for filling the theatre with such incredible energy. Your applause and support from the audience mean the world to our performers.
Thank you for trusting us with your children’s dance journey and for being the loudest cheering section they could ask for.
I am so honored to be apart of your experience in the world of dance. Rest up, dancers—you earned it! 🖤
