An awesome day was had yesterday at the latest Ability Counts tournament, this time just down the road in Cullompton.

The team finally got their rewards for playing some great attacking football, picking up 2 wins & 2 draws, with just 1 unfortunate defeat in the opening game.

Whilst quality goals from Jay & Lily topped the highlight reel, the contribution from every member of the squad yesterday was immense. And especially with playing on a big pitch on a sunny spring day - don’t be fooled by the clouds arriving just in time for the team photo!

There’s one more to come next month, and we can’t wait to go again!

After a long winter break, which included a February wash out, we were super excited to get back to another Ability Counts tournament this past Sunday.

It was a misty day down at Devon County FA HQ, but it was great to see the enthusiasm from everyone for being back on the pitch, with a full squad of 12 available this time around. This included debuts for Becky & Vi - welcome to the team both!

There was some great football on display from all, and some really close matches. Special shout out to Josh, who was in the wars after a nasty whack to the nose - we hope you’re feeling better now buddy!

Here’s looking forward to a change of scenery as we head to Cullompton for the next tournament in April!

A little bit of early 2026 club news from us - Dom has stepped down as Club Chairperson after almost 2 years in the role.

During the last couple of years under Dom’s leadership the club has played multiple fixtures, home and away, against other teams from the inclusive football community. We’ve also been all the way to Blackpool, plus Cardiff and London to compete in tournaments, where we brought home the club’s first ever trophy. And playing numbers have increased hugely during Dom’s time in the role.

Dom, thanks massively for your efforts over these past couple of years and for taking the club from strength to strength, both on the field in terms of activity and participation, and off it in helping to create such a welcoming environment for all.

Despite stepping back from the role of Chairperson, we’re really looking forward to still having you around hitting the back of that net!

As we reach the end of 2025, we wanted to give a another massive congratulations to all of our award winners from this year. 👏🏆👏

2025 has definitely been a year full of challenges - along with the odd trophy too! 😇 - but the team spirit and positive atmosphere on the pitch continues strong as ever. So along with our award winners, a massive shout out to every member of the club who has played a part in 2025, no matter how big or small the role!

Here’s to an exciting 2026, which kicks off for us next Wednesday evening, and we can’t wait!

We’ll then be back on the first Wednesday of the new year, the 7th.

Here’s to a bumper final session next week to finish off 2025! 🎄

Our final Ability Counts tournament of the year took place at the start of this month, once again at Devon FA HQ in Newton Abbot.

This time on the astro rather than the grass, and with a deep squad of 11 to choose from, it was a very different day to the previous tournament. We were the wrong side of a 3-2 thriller against Argyle FITDC to open, but picked up results in all but one of our other matches, and it was great to see the team play some really positive, attacking football.

This was also our last Ability Counts tournament under head coach Lily‘s guidance for now, as she heads off for an extended adventure in January. Thanks for everything you’ve done for this team Lily, and here’s to a strong second half of the season in the new year!

We’re moving on from West Exe and saying hello to Isca Academy as our new home for weekly training!

We’ll be there from this Wednesday (26th November) at the slightly earlier time of 8pm.

Come along and join us! A first session is still free and it’s just £3 per session thereafter.

We still have a couple more Ability Counts tournaments to catch up on, so here’s how the 3rd one went last month at Devon FA HQ in Newton Abbot.

We headed down the road with a very depleted squad for this one, due to injury and availability issues. But our tight-knit squad of 7 put up a phenomenal effort on a tough day when it seemed like everything was conspiring against us. Whilst we only managed to take 1 point from our 5 games, we were competitive throughout and can absolutely say the results didn’t reflect the performances.

Thankfully we didn’t have to wait too long for the next one!

Photo Dump incoming!

We just wanted to take the chance to share some photos from our 9 aside game against Stagecoach captured by one of the team's resident photographers, Riley! Thanks for some seriously cool snaps!

We'd also like to shout out to for providing both teams with free pasties! The post-match snack of champions!
