Interesting, we were talking about them on one of our walks last week.

These striking cinnabar moth caterpillars are impossible to miss on ragwort.
🔍Here are a few Fun facts:

🥬Cinnabar moth caterpillars absorb toxins from ragwort, making themselves unpalatable to birds, their bright colours are basically nature’s "do not eat" sign.

🥬Those bristly hairs aren't just for show! They're thought to help cinnabar caterpillars sense their surroundings and may make life a little more difficult for predators and parasites.
