Killerton Duathlon

It's time to say goodbye from us, but not to the Killerton Duathlon!!

After creating the event in 2017 and delivering 6 very successful editions, the very hard decision has been made to step away from organising the event. It's always been a family organised event and in many ways it turned into a mini family get together each year for us. Unfortunately the one person missing from this photo is Mum who sadly passed away 3 weeks before this years' event. She was always with us for the whole weekend, from helping set up on the Saturday, being the first person on the registration desk at 7am on race day, to packing away on the Sunday afternoon. The event without Mum isn't the same for us, and now feels like the natural time to end this chapter.

So onto the future! Events successfully passed their trial (😉) when they ran the event this year for us (many thanks again!), and they will be incorporating the Killerton Duathlon into their portfolio of amazing events from 2024 and beyond. We have every faith they'll take good care of the event and take it onto the next level again!

Thank you to Eileen, Tim and the whole team at Killerton, they've been a great supporter of the event ever since we started.
To Ben, Helen and the team at Sportiva for looking after this year and keeping the event going for the future.
To our family, friends and anyone who's helped out over the years.
And of course to anyone that's taken part since 2017, it's been an amazing and very enjoyable run/ride/run!!! 👋☺️

**Sportiva Events to host the Killerton Duathlon next month**

Experienced event organisers, Sportiva Events, will be organising the on the day delivery of the Killerton Duathlon next month.

Sportiva have stepped in to ensure the event can go ahead after one of the key family members involved with organising the Killerton Duathlon has unfortunately become seriously ill.

This change doesn’t affect or change the event, or entries, in any way. You can still expect to get the same great experience of taking part in the Killerton Duathlon.

My brother Ross and I hope to be there on the weekend if the situation allows us to be.

We would like to thank Ben and the team at Sportiva for their support and help at short notice.

The 5k run of the Killerton Duathlon uses the Parkrun route so if you're looking to recce the route why not get yourself out to Killerton parkrun this Saturday! 🏃‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♂️🫅

Don those crowns 👑 polish those tiaras 👑 let’s get that royal fancy dress out for parkrun this Saturday in celebration of the coronation🤴

We would love to see a sea of red, white and blue 🇬🇧or royal outfits 👑💂‍♀️this week!

Fancy dress not essential, but we do strongly encourage it 😁 (and we know there’s a few of you who don’t need any excuse to dress up 😉)
