Exmouth Gig Club

When the wind and weather get in the way, it’s nice to come together for some phys anyway.

Yesterday morning we joined together to smash out a seasonal circuits session, which included:

-12 days of Fitmass
-followed by a reindeer relay
-and finally the Christmas core crusher!

We even had time for the Sally finisher - IYKYK!

Thanks to Megan Rodgers for organising, Sea Cadets for the use of their room, and to Coached by Nikki - Strength & Fitness, Wellness, Mindset for hosting, and especially big thanks to all who came along 🧡

The coffee after was well deserved - thank you to The Point Exmouth Marina for having us!

A wonderful reminder of what makes our club so special; community, commerarderie and… lunch!

We had a brilliant social row over to Topsham and back yesterday, it was such a lovely way to spend the day enjoying our little corner of the world together.

What a day at the Weymouth Mixed Grand Prix yesterday! ☀️

Exmouth entered with a mixed open crew, and despite the early mist and fog causing delays, a great day was had by all.

The crew did us proud with a huge effort and some fantastic racing, securing themselves a place in the final of their heat 💪

Big thanks to Weymouth Rowing Club for hosting such an amazing event, full of brilliant competition. 👏

Gorgeous sunny conditions for the club rowers this morning. ☀️

Well done to our crew at the Tamar challenge today 💪🏻 They were rowing from Saltash to Cotehele, a fair distance at around 9 miles.

🧡They finished it in 1 hour and 27 minutes - & were very pleased to get to the end 😥 crossing the line in 13th and finishing 11th overall.

We are right at the end of a long season, but we have club members competing this weekend at the Tamar Challenge and the County County Championships.
