Final prep week for Charlotte ....

One week out from her bodybuilding debut at the PCA First Timers show in Telford .

A few more days training carb free , before she stops training on Thursday and starts carb loading to get the muscles popping 💪

Big focus this week on her on stage posing routine .

It's unbelievable how far she has come in the short time she has been training.

We are all super proud of her.

A wee gift from the Gym members so she is repping the gym looking sharp 👌

Eyemouth Twilight Run 2026

Some sneaky Sparta runners managed to avoid the obligatory team photo / dayglo vests , Hannah , Sharon ,Jenny & Kendall ☺️

Highlight of the night was Rhiannon taking Fastest Female 🥇.

Course felt tough , wee brae at Gunsgreen House felt like North Face of the Eiger 🥵

Well done to all the Runners who took part 🙌

In 2023 Sean , Jill & Lucy entered Glasgow Hyrox . Watching I was blown away by the sheer energy and vowed to give it a go .

If anyone had told me then that within 3 years our members would be stepping onto podiums I would have laughed.

In 2026 our members have taken podiums spots at three( 3) separate Fitness Racing Competitions.
Including a Hyrox win & invitation to the World Championships in Hong Kong in 2027.

With a membership of 250 members, of whom approximately 20 have competed in Fitness Racing Events - to say we are punching well above our weight is an understatement.

Incredibly proud of all our members who compete in a variety of Sports- representing our wee gym .

Busy day at Sparta with the kids returning to school 👧👦📚

Special mention to all the Mums , Dads & Carers who have managed to squeeze into the gym over the holidays.

Huge shoutout to Charlotte ( Mum of five ) who is 4.5 weeks out from the PCA First Timers Bodybuilding Show in Telford.

Everyone at Sparta super proud of her💙
We see how hard she works everyday.

1st & 2nd Place finishes for the Sparta Veterans at the Hybrid Games in Newcastle.

Really nice to have the Scott Purvis Shield back home at Sparta 💙

Thanks to Sean , Jamie & Stu for a sterling performance on the day ... 8 minutes clear of Berwick RFC in second place .

Special mention to Robbie Weir and the Unity lads who put in a strong defence of their title . Especially as a lot of the crew were off celebrating at Mr & Mrs Holborn Wedding 💒.
Congratulations from all at Sparta.

We are sure you will be back in force in '27 .
