The lads travelled to Glasgow Green today to take part in the Glasgow City Cup, 3 matches against new opposition

Gairdoch 1 - 0 Drumchapel Amateurs
Gairdoch 2 - 1 Lochnell
Gairdoch 0 - 0 Rutherglen

It results in a tied top spot in the group stage so a quarter final tomorrow versus Knockentiber Youth.

𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗟𝗬 ..

After a couple of away games we welcomed Syngenta Grange down to Gairdoch Park, we know all about them we meet regular and as always it’s a very competitive game 👌

Gairdoch lads taking on our instructions to start well, and we did that, taking a well earned lead, Syngenta are a top side and they pegged us back 1-1.

The boys kept their focus, and kept playing their game, into the second half and 3-2 for a large spell as both teams attacking and defending well, Gairdoch having most of the play and scoring a well earned 4th to seal the game.

Credit to both teams playing a high intensity game and minutes in the legs that will do both teams the world of good for the season ahead.

Who doesn’t love a Friday night away game down the bypass to Musselburgh!

Another excellent pre season game to get valuable minutes in the legs, a strong away performance as the team continue their preparation for the new season.

A good challange tonight as both teams looked to play football, Musselburgh starting brighter by taking their chances, once we sharpened up and played with a bit more intensity we were very clinical.

Great to see goals coming from across the team 👏

Absolutely superb, lads. Keep that attitude and togetherness and we’ll continue to improve every week. 👏🖤💛

𝙋𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙀𝘼𝙎𝙊𝙉 𝙁𝙍𝙄𝙀𝙉𝘿𝙇𝙔 𝙈𝘼𝙏𝘾𝙃 🤝

Early start as we travelled through to Greenock today to face a highly rated Greenock HS team, we’ve played them before and know they are a strong physical side.

Excellent performance from the lads, great minutes in the legs and a good pre season run out.

With holidays still ongoing the squad was a little stretched with only 11 boys available but an outstanding effort from them all to give 150%!

We look forward to more pre season training and games in the coming weeks before the CSFA League starts back mid August.

As we undertake pre season we are delighted to introduce our Vice Captain for the season ahead.

During training our Captain 𝙅𝘼𝙔 𝙏𝙃𝙊𝙈𝙎𝙊𝙉 handed the VC armband to Calum.

A very good choice, Calum is well respected within the group, a hard worked with great attributes to lead within the team, good communication, good composure and a calm head.

Excellent recognition by his peers.

A very warm and muggy night down at Galaxy Sports Little Kerse as we hosted Carbrain Clarets in a friendly match.

Excellent standard of football on display by two competitive teams looking to play football correctly.

Gairdoch enjoyed great success in the opening period looking dangerous in the attack, with a new group of boys recently joining relationships are starting to form and things are looking good 🔥 Cole unlocked the deadlock with an excellent strike 👌 some good play forced a Carbrain OG.

Carbrain fought back and enjoyed some good spells also scoring from a well taken corner kick, however Gairdoch upped their game and Tomi scoring a fine 2 goals to make sure of the result.

A good competitive game, and we thank Carbrain for travelling through, we wish them well in their break and see you guys in the new season 🤝

𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗟𝗬 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 👏

We travelled to King’s Park, Stirling today to face an in form Stirling Albion team. The game started lively with the hosts having the better opening 15mins. They came out the traps with a purpose and had chances, our defence and shape had to stand firm and we did that well enough to see out the early storm.

As the game progressed our football picked up and we played some really nice stuff and had a better control in the game, we changed shape at half time and enjoyed success in the second half with some fine play earning us a nice victory.

The match was played out in the correct manner with both teams playing football, good sportsmanship and a decent day all round, we welcomed a host of trialists who all played their part providing excellent competition across the squad.

We thank Stirling Albion for hosting and they look a good addition to the CSFA A League for 26/27 Season.

𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗢𝗧𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗟 ⚫️🟡

FULL TIME at Gairdoch Park as we welcomed a strong Glenrothes Athletic down to Carronshore. Unbeaten in the Fife A League and having just got a victory over the Scottish Cup Finalists we knew this would be a good test 👌

Excellent first half set the tone where Gairdoch dominated the ball, creating lots of chances in the final third with some great play by Harry taking his chances well.

Second half saw Glenrothes change their press and show they are a good side, the pitch got heavy and Glenrothes got on the ball creating their own chances, but a good bit of determination from Parker saw us get a good 3rd goal to see the game out.

Excellent to see the continuation from training into games and the boys gave us 100% tonight.

Excellent and we go again Monday 👏
