The sun was shining (and warm) today for the FVFC Festival.

All the teams attending were in high spirits and they were all defo about the fun and less pressure today.

We are so proud to announce that our Braes Blues came away as festival champions. Every game brought its own challenges but the boys were determined and stuck together to bring the win home.

The final game was cheered on by the Braes Blacks showing unity and friendship is what it’s all about!!

Our fantastic player of the week and team captain for Braes Blacks goes to the one and only Flynn 🤩🤩

Flynn got a wee shot back outside in the second half today and settled in fine to using his feer again and not his hands.

He has the hard task of being the Blacks goalie and its been a tough gig these last 15 games. However the wee man can still play, once he takes his glue enhanced gloves off 🤫 too.

Well that’s a wrap folks!!

The end of the season and moving into the summer break (aside from the festivals and friendlies)

We’ve seen goals goals goals, tremendous saves and some seriously fancy footwork.

There’s been excitement and celebration and tears and frustration and literally everything in between. Victories and defeats. Draws, close calls, penalties.

But most important we’ve seen team work and picking each other up, and celebrating together and friendships and unity. And that’s what being a part of Braes is all about.

It’s about fun and development and never giving up. And that’s on display every week at training and every weekend at matches.

The huge thanks for the past few months goes to the boys for their commitment and drive and amazing personalities. To the coaches for always giving the boys a positive from every outcome and pushing them to be their very best. To the parents for spending endless hours on the sidelines cheering and encouraging.

Braes FC is a very special little community and it’s growing all the time!!

Finlay!!!

Finlay puts the graft in at training every week and has shown real grit and determination in his tackles. Some fancy foot work was on display during today’s game too. He’s also partial to a good few wee goals.

Finlay is a fantastic team player and always gets stuck in to help.

Finlay led the Blues team out to a tremendous game against Glenboig this morning. a performance the full team should be proud of!!

Zack 🤩🤩

Zack has been working hard in training and in games for himself and his teammates, adapting well to the Left Centre Back role. Zack’s excellent ball keeps him cool and composed under pressure, equally adept in taking on his man or finding a pass.
