On Monday it was my last Slimming World group before I take a leave of absence while we move house, get settled and find our new routine.
Wow... where do you even begin after 13 years?
From Hallglen to Grahamston, I've had the privilege of meeting thousands of people (and yes... I even remembered some of their names! 😂).
Together we've celebrated every milestone imaginable - weight losses, target awards, confidence returning, new friendships, healthier habits, mindset shifts and people discovering who they really are. I've watched members change their lives, and in some cases, even save their lives. That's something I'll never take for granted.
To every member who trusted me to be part of your journey... thank you.
To every member of my amazing Social Team, past and present - were you one of them? - thank you. You gave your time, your smiles, your encouragement and your friendship, helping make every single group what it was.
Thank you to Slimming World, my Managers, my Team, my family, my supporters and everyone who has cheered me on over the last 13 years. I truly couldn't have done it without you.
A very special thank you has to go to my husband, Howard... better known to many of you as The Chef! ❤️ Thank you for believing in me, especially on the many occasions when I didn't believe in myself. Thank you for encouraging me to take that leap 13 years ago, because without you I would never have started this incredible journey in the first place.
And to my gorgeous girls, Poppy and Mabel... thank you for growing up with Slimming World. In those early years, you were in group every single week, patiently waiting and helping while supporting Mummy. You've shared this journey with me from the very beginning, and I'm so proud of the amazing young women you've become.
It feels incredibly strange to step away from something that has been part of my weekly life for so long. Even on holiday, group was never far from my thoughts! ❤️
The good news is that Grahamston Group continues as normal. The lovely Jacqui will be looking after everyone, so whether you're already a member or thinking of joining, you'll be in safe hands and receive the same warm welcome and support.
As for me... the next few days, weeks and months are going to be full of packing boxes, unpacking boxes and creating a new home. Once we're settled, who knows what the next chapter will bring? I'm excited to find out.
