A young side once again, with three lads making their Stirlingshire debuts as we continue to develop the team and build for the future. 💪

A fantastic afternoon of junior golf at Falkirk Golf Club on Sunday! ⛳️

Despite the threat of some pretty terrible weather, the rain largely held off and the boys were able to get their round completed in some decent conditions.

What a result for the Stirlingshire County Boys today! 👏⛳️

The boys took on Glasgow in the West of Scotland League and came away with an excellent 5–3 victory! 💪🏆

🏆 PROGRESSION ANNOUNCEMENT 🏆

A huge congratulations to Ryan McDonald, whose outstanding form in recent weeks has earned him a well-deserved progression from Q-School to the Mini-Tour! 👏⛳

Ryan has shown some fantastic improvement, with his performances demonstrating that he’s ready to take the next step in his golfing journey.

His next target? Working towards obtaining his official WHS Handicap and continuing that progression through the ranks. 📈

Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be for our Louie in the final last night.

Still a great achievement in picking up the County Strokeplay Trophy and being runner-up in the matchplay.

Stirlingshire Junior County Matchplay

⛳️The Stirlingshire Junior matchplay finals took place at Stirling Golf Club last night. Thanks to Stirling Golf Club for hosting. There was some fantastic golf on show. The results were as follows -

In the scratch section Thomas Kelly beat Louie Anderson 6&5. In the handicap section Johnnie Hood beat Olly Webster on the 18th green.

A busy Sunday at Falkirk Golf Club yesterday with another round of our Junior Q-School and Mini-Tour competitions taking place. 👏

⛳ Q-SCHOOL – BLUE TEES (9 Holes)

Congratulations to Rory Walkinshaw, who took top spot with an excellent 28 nett, closely followed by Ryan McDonald on 29 nett.

Well done also to Charlie Mitchell, who now has gained his Q-School Handicap. 👏

⛳ MINI-TOUR – RED TEES (9 Holes)

Congratulations to Charlie Kerr, who produced an outstanding 34 nett to win Division 1.

Well done to everyone who took part. The Q-School and Mini-Tour are all about giving our juniors the opportunity to play competitive golf, gain experience and continue developing their games. It’s fantastic to see so many of them getting involved. 👏⛳

🏆 Bridge of Allan Junior Open

Well done to Alasdair McNally, who won the Handicap section of the Bridge of Allan Junior Open today with an outstanding score! 👏🏆

Congratulations also to Blair Wooler, who finished 3rd in the Scratch, and Ruari McNeill, who picked up the Nearest the Pin prize. 👏⛳️

We always encourage our juniors to get out and play competitions at other courses. It’s a great way to gain experience, test their game in different conditions and continue developing as golfers.

It’s always even nicer to see them picking up a few rewards along the way! 🙌

Delighted to see our own Callm Reid qualify for this years Race to Dundonald. He was the only junior across the whole of Forth Valley to play in all 15 events this year and fully deserves his place.
