🌿 What if grief isn’t something to fix, but something to listen to?

Instead of pushing it away, what if we allowed grief to guide us—to reveal what truly matters in our hearts?

Grief is not a problem to solve. It’s a reflection of deep love, a path to healing, and a doorway to growth. When we stop fighting it and start listening, we create space for transformation.

šŸ’› I explore this in my latest blog post: www.marytalbot.com

If you or someone you love is walking through loss, my coaching offers a compassionate space to navigate this journey. You don’t have to do this alone.

The Myth of Staying Busy in Grief and Loss šŸ’šŸ’™

It can be easy to get caught up in the busyness of ā€˜doing’ - sorting things out, tidying the house, keeping busy with tasks. It can give a sense of control, a way to feel like we are moving forward. But sometimes, what we really need is to step away, go for a walk, pause and just ā€˜be’. To let ourselves reflect, to feel, to breathe.

Grief and loss isn’t something we can outrun with a packed to-do list. Change happens when we find a balance between activity and rest, between doing and being, doing and feeling.

Coaching has helped my clients to recognise this balance, and if you’re struggling with it too, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

I’ve written more about this in my latest blog - have a read here:

Are you starting to Think About Valentine’s Day Already? šŸ’–

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and while it’s often seen as a celebration of romantic love, it’s also a wonderful opportunity to show yourself some kindness and care. If you’re grieving, feeling low, or simply in need of a little looking after, why not use this time to focus on nurturing yourself?

In my latest blog post, I’ve shared some simple, loving ways to embrace the day with intention—whether it’s treating yourself to something special, enjoying a quiet moment of relaxation, or stepping outside for a refreshing walk. Looking after oneself is so important, and we all deserve to feel comforted, cared for and cherished. How about using the coming couple of weeks to think about how you can practice this over this Valentine’s Day, 2025? Start a new tradition!

If you're looking for extra support as you live alongside grief or simply want to embrace this practice of looking after yourself more this Valentine’s season, I’d love for you to read my blog and explore the ways you can prioritise your wellbeing.

Losing my partner to cancer was one of the most heart wrenching experiences of my life. Grief doesn’t follow a straight path—it’s messy, unpredictable, and can leave you feeling stuck in a place you’d never imagined.

For a time, I felt like I was treading water, unsure how to move forward without abandoning what I cherished so deeply. However, the coaching I received helped me see a way through the fog of loss.

Coaching didn’t erase my grief—it never could—but it helped me reclaim my life. It provided a safe space to explore my emotions, rediscover my purpose, and take meaningful steps forward while holding the love and memories that will always be a part of me.

Now I help others who feel stuck in their grief.

If you’re struggling to navigate life after loss, I want you to know that you’re not alone—and that moving forward doesn’t mean letting go of what matters most.

As a coach, I’m here to support and guide you as you take the steps you’re ready to take.

If this resonates with you or someone you know, I’d like to offer you a free consultation. This is a call in which we explore what coaching could look like for you and whether it might help you move forward.

You don’t have to do this alone. Let’s take the first step together.

🌟 A timeless scene. 🌟
As a coach, I’m often asked about the phrase, ā€œtime heals all woundsā€ā€¦ 🌻
If it were that simple, grieving and healing would have a clear formula.
In my blog, I dive into this topic and explore the idea that it is what we DO with our time truly matters in healing. 🌻
Focusing on our emotional landscape is essential for growth and recovery. 🌻
