stunning light through the trees and canope this morning at Argal Lake…
I find my inspiration in nature to deliver uplifting yoga classes. Join me on the mat!
Yoga to me is a passion, a source of joy, fun and curiosity… but also a source of knowledge and understanding of the self and how we relate to the people around us.

But I think my absolute favourite if our holiday was to discover the most fairy/mystic/magical-like wonderland of creatures hidden on our path on a walk near la ballade des Lutins enrhumés near les Crozets in the High Jura Mountains natural reserve. And as if that wasn’t enough to blow our minds, the next day we went to see some dinosaur (soropodus?) footprints on a cliff wall in Coisia (still High Jura)…! Absolutely mind blowing once again to think that we were looking at these prints, millions of year later after they had been made on the rivers edge, now on a cliff wall… W-O-W 🤯

A week spent in the Jura mountains… the lake was running as usual, albeit alarming much lower than usual, but the real highlight of the week was hunting for fossils. We only found clams and shells, but from the Jurassic period!! It felt so special to be digging this soil in my friends sloped garden whilst thinking that it had once been the bed of a river! 😎

Almost a week back from France… trawling through tons of pictures and pondering… what are the 10 photos that would encapsulate this trip? Here is my attempt for the first week… The second one was far too rich to fit in to the same post! 😊

Last weekend I took the kids to Tehidy woods and we came across this beautiful family…
This week, as I said goodbye to my students for the summer, I got two of the most rewarding comments a teacher can get:
1- from a member of staff: “I have really enjoyed the classes with you, it has given me the confidence to carry on and explore yoga further both in classes and at home”
2- from a pupil: “Can I just be honest here Miss? Your classes have been amazing, the best I’ve ever attended. And believe me, I have attended many!”
And when I tried to understand why, the pupil said: “because I managed to do some things I didn’t think I could do!”
Scrolling through my pics and seeing these ducks reminded of these conversations and what teaching yoga is all about for me: I empower my students through confidence building classes and offer unbiased guidance through inspiring quotes in the hope that they discover a passion and sail under their own steam…

This week, my simple pleasure was to enjoy these beauts. Redcurrants! It reminds me of my childhood in France. Summers spent picking berries and eating them fresh off the bush or as delicious jams spread on our toast in the morning… Haaah… 🥰 !
Hi guys, so in my almanach it said that June is a great way to pick up a new skills. And as I’ve said in my previous post I’ve enjoyed the simple pleasure of learning the uke… I love it because it combines my love of playing music and singing together, and I’ve discovered it’s a very powerful mindfulness practice…
So here is a video of my progress so far… I feel a bit vulnerable sharing this but I hope it will encourage some of you to have a go at something new before the end of this month… 😊

More simple pleasures for me this week have involved learning the ukulele swimming in the sea, taking in the brightness of these incredible flowers and enjoying a cup of herbal tea…. What about yours?

Treated myself to a simple pleasure of mine today… bubble tea! It reminds me of my time in Taiwan… 20 years ago this year, and yet such an essential part of who I am… 💜 😊 when I was there I felt such a strong sense of belonging… I remember my host Gran’ma telling me it must have been because I had been living there in a previous life… who knows? I’d like to believe it! ✨
And you? What’s the simple pleasure that makes you nostalgic in a good way?
