We run P.E lessons and OFSTED registered wraparound childcare in a number of primary schools across Cornwall. We can cater for all ages and abilities.
Acorn Multi-Sports was established in September 2014 and we deliver P.E and physical activities in primary schools and residential care homes. Our aim is to deliver schemes of work which fulfil the key objectives and deliver designated learning outcomes. All of our schemes of work provide progression, assessment and evaluation to ensure high quality feedback. Our main aim is getting every individu
al active whilst giving them a positive experience. We work with a number of primary schools and residential care homes around the county such as Lanner Primary School, Falmouth Primary Academy, Halwin Primary School, Longview Residential Home and King Charles Court Residential Home. We appreciate how important supporting schools in their sports provision is especially with the government placing primary school sports premium high up its agenda. So our aim is to ensure that our sports programmes are enjoyable and delivered in a safe and secure environment. We tailor syllabuses to ensure children learn a wide range of skills. As well as improving fitness and promoting good health, regular sports activities that children enjoy can enhance self-esteem, confidence and social skills, as well as helping them to set and achieve goals and giving them a sense of satisfaction. We understand that primary schools are busy environments so our schools sports provision is tailored to suit a school’s individual needs. We can offer dedicated cover for planning, preparation and assessment (PPA) within schools by offering an exciting and varied sports programme which is highlighted in this document. Activities such as tag rugby, football, hockey and netball. We also have extensive experience of supporting schools in sports provision at the start of the day as a breakfast club, during lunchtimes and extra-curricular clubs. We can offer your school training for potential playtime leaders which we hope will break and lunchtimes a more calming environment for everyone by giving children the chance to take a lead during these hectic periods of the day. As dedicated, fully-qualified school sports coaches and mentors, we are best placed to provide schools with a structured sports programme that can be implemented within the National Curriculum to suit the school’s needs and requirements. All of our coaches carry National Governing Body qualifications, safeguarding and are DBS checked.
