Come and join us for a week of relaxing and re-energising T'ai Chi and Qigong in the vibrant Cornish seaside town of Falmouth.
Beginners would really benefit from these daily sessions, each day we do a mixture of qigong using deep breathing, partner exercises and some forms.

Tea is provided at both sessions, but if you do the whole day, you can have lunch at the hotel, or there is a cafe at Castle beach a stone's throw from the hotel.

🍁 Feeling low on energy as the seasons shift?
In Chinese medicine, Autumn is the season of the Lungs—closely tied to our breath, vitality, and immunity. Practicing Tai Chi this time of year can boost energy, strengthen the Lungs, and help us let go of stress.

Moving into Autumn with Tai Chi and Chinese Medicine
As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, we enter Autumn—a season of transition. In Chinese medicine, Autumn belongs to the Metal element, which governs the Lungs and Large Intestine. These organs remind us of the importance of breath and release: taking in what nourishes us and letting go of what we no longer need. Just as trees shed their leaves, this season invites us to simplify and create space for renewal.
The Lungs are especially important now. They are seen as delicate in Chinese medicine, yet vital for our energy and immunity. When Lung energy is strong, we breathe more deeply, feel more resilient, and face the colder months with steadiness.
Tai Chi is a beautiful way to support this seasonal shift.
Its flowing movements and mindful breathing not only strengthen Lung function, but also calm the mind and lift energy. Practicing Tai Chi in Autumn can help you:
Boost Energy: Gentle, rhythmic movements circulate Qi and prevent seasonal fatigue.
Support Lung Health: Deep, mindful breathing nourishes the body and strengthens immunity.
Find Balance: Tai Chi eases tension and supports emotional steadiness, helping us move through Autumn’s natural feelings of reflection or melancholy.
Let Go: Each exhale becomes a practice of release, aligning with the season’s rhythm of shedding.
Practical Tip: Try a short daily Tai Chi practice outdoors. Breathe in the crisp Autumn air, root your feet into the earth, and imagine each exhale carrying away what no longer serves you. In this simple practice, you’ll find harmony with the season and fresh energy for the months ahead.
