Hi all. These are your main youth team members for this year. I suspect a few other will help out from time to time. I think all of us are in this group anyway so you can find us or pop us a message if you have any questions or queries.

Key Contact on the above is Darren, for any safeguarding concerns as he will be in contact with the ECB to address any issues or concerns you may have.

Please save this image should you need it although will also be on the club notice board next week.

Cheers
Graham

It wasn't very warm, but it was nice and sunny. U11 and u13s getting some practice in and great to literally get the ball rolling at Boulder Parc.

It's always an incredibly busy time of year is April, with the start of the adult season, the youth season and all of the socials and ground work getting everyone back together.

This year is a massive year for the club, a few things changing at the club and a lot of faith being put in the older members of the youth section, most of who have been with us since 6/7 years old in 2019 now starting their first adult seasons.

The first 5 years plan was to complete a pathway from youth cricket, up to open age cricket and this was completed this year after starting in 2019. (Some less than helpful COVID of course)

With this pathway now complete, with members starting at 6 years old, the older group are now old enough to play league games with adults.

We now look ahead to the next 5 years and think about 2030, which is a scary thought in itself.

Breaking this down into almost one year plans we look to produce 3-4 players who can step up to adult cricket each year. Which in effect leads to 15-20 youth members in the next 5.

It's a big ask, but given what we have achieved in the last 5 years where we started with 4 under 18s, it's definitely achievable.

We have just signed up our 82nd youth member on spond, they are not all world beaters or course, some may be, some won't be, we will lose some, we will gain some, some will love it and some will leave it, but ultimately they are all signing up to play the game we love.

Really looking forward to the season starting and whilst short term this year maybe a bit of a struggle the long-term outlook is looking incredibly positive

Hi All, sadly the outfield is quite wet slippery after rain this afternoon and it's also very windy, making a risk to reward/decision we have decided to cancel tonight. We will see you all next week!
