English Shinty Association

Our first league match for the ESL summer season is against on Saturday 13th June. 2pm start at the top pitch of the Dracaena Centre in Falmouth (TR11 2ES). Heading into Falmouth for a fun night at the Shanty Festival afterwards!

We are looking forward to a great game, hopefully see lots of you out, as always feel free to come a long and watch!

Our Ladies team have sadly ended their journey in the cup. Losing 4-0 to GMA Ladies Shinty Club 2nds.

Well done to all who made the journey up. Never easy playing without subs and confident we can keep building on this next year! Thanks to our hosts for a great game!

Match Report -

The ESA ladies took a trip up to Glasgow this weekend to play GMA after a successful first round tie.

An early goal from GMA set the pace, and despite strong defending and tidy clearances from ESA in Yoker, GMA went 2–0 up by half‑time. We created a couple of good chances before the break, which gave us confidence heading into the second half.

Two more goals in the second half sealed a 4–0 win for GMA, but plenty of positives from ESA throughout.

Player of the Match: Rebecca Furniss, a brilliant debut — winning balls, driving forward and linking play across the pitch.

Thanks to GMA for a great match and warm hospitality.

The ladies enjoyed the trip and opportunities like these to play together in Scotland

This Sunday our ladies team head to Peterson Park to take on GMA Ladies Shinty Club in the , wishing them the best of luck in the competition!

This Saturday we have our second league game in the English Shinty League with Bristol Camanachd travelling to Oxford Shinty Club who will be looking to repeat their strong record on home turf.

Great to see such a good turnout, maybe its not so grim up North after all!

Thanks to Lochcarron Camanachd who were wonderful hosts. Hopefully we'll be back again soon!

Today's match against Lochcarron in the Chieftain's cup. An 8 - 0 loss but a fun game to play with only 12 players we all put in quite a shift. With some players being tempted to defect with some snazzy stash.
