Great summer sessions happened at McMud this week! We've had water play, campfire pizza, hammocks, wood keyrings, made elves and fairies, and practised fire lighting!

Another glorious McMud session today. Family forest school with a Bee theme to recognise yesterday's world bee day. Bee crafts, bee facts and local honey on campfire toast! We still have spaces for next Saturday's family forest school, 2-4. Pop us a message if you want to join in the fun!

Rabbit week at McMud this week! We hunted competitively for rabbit poo (one team found nearly 200!) listened to an old rabbit legend, practised knots to make a rabbit hole game and finished it all off with smores on the campfire! We have a break in sessions now as Helen and Jo are on holiday. See you soon!

This week the children revisited the frogspawn and were excited to spot the changes. They observed some of the tadpoles wriggling free. This connection to their natural world fosters a sense of responsibility in our young people and helps them to understand the importance of protecting natural habitats 🐸

Turns out across the two groups today brought rain, giant catapults, den building, more daffodils, changes to the frogspawn, flatbread cooking, hammering, the hungry caterpillar, hot chocolate and a story under a shelter created using our cars and a parachute 🍄
