Wednesday Academy League

Another busy night in the Faringdon Darts Academy Wednesday League, with plenty of important results shaking up the middle and lower end of the table!

🔥 Luke Cox continues to set the pace at the top of the league and added another victory to his impressive campaign, defeating Bear Fotheringham 2-0. Luke remains top with 16 points, while Teddy Edwards sits second on 13.

👏 Teddy Edwards also enjoyed a strong night, beating Callum Parley 2-0. Teddy continues to apply the pressure at the top, while Callum will be looking to bounce back in his next fixture.

⭐ Otto Hookham strengthened his position in fourth with a convincing 2-0 victory over Chloe Judd. Otto remains unbeaten and now has 12 points from just eight matches — an outstanding record!

💪 Jude Newman picked up a big 2-0 win over Eli Stanley, moving Jude closer to the players above him. However, Finn Groves responded brilliantly later in the session with a 2-0 win over Jude, showing just how competitive this league is becoming.

🎯 Matthew Collett claimed one of the night’s most competitive victories, edging past Finn Groves 2-1. A great battle between the two!

🚀 Alex Taylor got himself another important win with a 2-0 victory over Oscar Gerring, while Lauren Hutchinson also took maximum points against Oscar with another 2-0 win. Lauren continues to sit comfortably inside the top five.

💥 At the other end of the table, Adam Collett secured a 2-0 win over Bear, before Bear faced another tough test against league leaders Luke.

📊 The race is on!

With Luke leading on 16 points, Teddy and Eli both on 13, and Otto sitting just one point further back, the battle at the top is really starting to heat up.

Meanwhile, the middle of the table is incredibly close, with just a few points separating several players. There is still plenty of darts to be played, and positions can change very quickly!

The Monday Girls Academy is back!

Something a little different from Faringdon Darts Academy…

We very rarely share anything that isn’t directly related to darts, our juniors or the achievements of our Academy members.

But every now and then, something comes along that is much bigger than darts.

Today, one of our Academy mums, Claire Gerring, shared her incredible story — a story of an exceptionally rare and life-threatening cancer, an incredible 10-hour operation and having nine organs removed to save her life.

Claire is not just a mum of one of our juniors. She is part of our Academy family, and what she has been through is something that has touched all of us.

We are incredibly proud of Claire for sharing her story and helping to raise awareness of something so rare and so devastating.

So, for once, we’re putting the darts to one side.

Please take a moment to watch Claire’s story, show her some love and support, and help us share her message.
