Day 2 of the finals 😁

Day 1 of the finals weekend. The weather was changeable but the high standards of bowling were constant. Well done all the finals participants and thank you to the loyal supporters.

F&D runners up in the finals held at Mytchett today. Mens pairs (Brian Langford and Ian Webster) and Tom Reeves in the singles. A great achievement to get to the finals - well done 👏

Boyd Shield winners 2025

Ladies day 2025 was a great success, huge thanks to the team of volunteers who brought this together. Well done Mytchett, who battled it out in the final, with Mytchett A team aka the ‘Afro Queens’, pipping Mytchett B, the ‘Funky Funks’ to the post. Farnborough, the ‘Boogie troupe’ took the title of best dressed. 😁🕺🏻🪩

Fabulous effort from all the lovely ladies that have made up our Ladies Day. 70s music playing whilst the bowls competition plays out. Food, prize giving and raffle to come 😁

They may not have won the men’s Top Club against Woodbridge Hill, but they certainly won in the fashion stakes! Check out the new kit 🏆😁

Internal competition live draw at the club tonight. There is tension in the air as Fiona professionally guides us through the process. It’s going to be another interesting summer of competitions. Good luck all 🤞

Four of our members managed to get a Hot Shot in the West Surrey league against Stoke Park. Two of this fabulous foursome are 88 and 90 respectively. You can guess which ones they are!!

Today was the first open day we are holding (next one Sunday 25th May, 11am to 4pm). Lovely to see new faces and potential new members enjoying the sunshine and trying their hand at lawn bowls.

The smell of coffee and freshly baked cakes, the rustle of raffle tickets, the clink of bottles being added to the prize table. It must be the pre season coffee morning. Members collecting their 2025 fixtures booklet and adding their names to the league and friendlies sign up sheets. It’s beginning to look a lot like outdoor bowls season.
