❤️ What I love: Helping swimmers build confidence in the water, spending time with my family, and watching children achieve things they never thought possible.
🌟 What I enjoy: Swimming, walking my dogs, and making memories with my son and husband.
🏊 Favourite swimming stroke: Front crawl to swim, breaststroke to teach.
📅 You'll usually find me at the pool: Sadly, I'm only covering at the moment! 😭

💙 EXTRA Fun facts:

🛟 I love a challenge and helping nervous swimmers become confident in the water.
🏃 I spend all day telling people not to run… then spend the rest of the day chasing after my own child!
☕ Powered almost entirely by caffeine and chlorine.
🐠 I've probably spent more time in a swimming pool than on holiday.
📣 I can project my voice across a pool without a microphone—it's a swimming teacher superpower!
🦆 I've said "bend, star, snap" so many times it's become part of my everyday vocabulary.
🩱 I own more swimwear than everyday clothes.
🥽 If I had £1 for every pair of goggles I've untangled, I'd probably be retired by now!
🐬 I'm convinced I have permanent "pool hair" no matter what I do!

Hi I’m Jess, my favourite swim stroke to teach is front crawl. I find it a pleasure teaching and watching how much swimmers have grown and progressed into their swimming journey!

When I’m not at the pool teaching, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, especially spending time with my daughter. When I catch up with friends or family I tend to have a pub meal or end up at an Italian restaurant!🍝

When we have a cosy night or rainy day you may find me watching Heartland or a movie my daughter has picked with some movie snacks to go with it🍿

If you didn't see it, BBC reported this week that "more pupils on free school meals are less likely to leave able to swim 25m".

This got us thinking...could a small swim school like ours do anything to help bridge the swim gap?

What if all swim schools could help disadvantaged children a little bit...that might add up to a lot.

We're looking into what we can do to help so please watch this space.

And please do comment if you have any ideas on how we could help bring this important life skill to more children.

💙 A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing swimmers this year!

Whether you've been joining us for our weekly term time lessons or taking part in our intensive courses, every single one of you has worked so hard, grown in confidence, and achieved so much.

You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves as we certainly are! 🌟

Now it's time for our wonderful teachers to swap lesson plans for a well deserved rest (and maybe an ice cream or two!🍦). Have a fantastic Summer, and we'll see you all soon! ☀️

And just like that... our Summer intensive courses are DONE! 🏊

What an amazing few weeks it's been! We've loved seeing so many familiar faces back in the pool and giving a huge welcome to all the new ones too.
