DESERPEAUX takes the Chasing Gold team to tonight to contest the 19.00pm Class 4 Handicap Hurdle over 2m3f.
DESPEREAUX has run admirably consistently all season, never really having his ground. Todays βgoodβ going should be more up just street and we hope it helps him to show his best.
The sharp track and the trip should suit and and report him to be well and happy at home. Weβre pleased to have in the saddle and are hopeful of a good run.
We hope all our members have a great day out at one of our more local tracks, that DESPEREAUX gets the conditions heβs been waiting for, and most importantly that he comes home safe and sound.

Off to we head today with DESPEREAUX in the opener, the 13.15pm Class 3 Racing Podcasts Juvenile Handicap Hurdle.
Over 2 miles and on soft ground, conditions should suit and we hope DESPEREAUXβs stamina kicks in up the stiff finish.
Trained by and and ridden by our fellow is in fine fertile at home and ready to take his chance after a fine run last time against a top juvenile.
DESPEREAUX has given us a great season so far, with 2 wins and 2 seconds from his 4 starts. Today will be tough as he gives weight to all the field but we hope he runs well, continues his progress and most importantly comes home safe and sound!

A great day out yesterday at Rod Millmanβs to see our sister syndicates new filly for the flat season, Sweet Sonata.
A 2 year old filly by Sergei Prokofiev x Mirman, she is progressing well and should be ready to have a run when the flat season commences.
For now all eyes are focused on the Festival but weβre getting our horses ready for when the summer comes!

π 2 x RUNNERS π
We have 2 runners today, one for Chasing Gold and one for our sister syndicate, both trained by and
First up is MOKA DE VASSY who runs in the 14.35pm 3 miles Class 3 Handicap Hurdle. MOKA ran well two starts back when winning but was disappointing last time. We hope he shows his class, although he would have wanted the rain to stay away. He is ridden by . Good luck to all his syndicate owners!
He is swiftly followed by DESPEREAUX in the 14.45pm , a 2 miles Class 4 handicap hurdle. DESPEREAUX has run well this season whilst not being able to trouble the principals. The handicapper has given him a chance, although again he would have preferred better ground. He is ridden by
So both horses have a good each way chance, but for both ideally the (incessant!!) rain would have stayed away.
We hope both horses run well and come home safe and sound.

A great run from CASTELFORT saw him finish a very game 2nd in the Victor Ludorum .
He really battled on strongly up the home straight to finish under 4 lengths behind one of the favourites for the Triumph Hurdle at the Festival, whilst giving 15 pounds to the horse beaten 3 lengths into third.
gave CASTELFORT another great ride, rousing him up on the home turn after they went a moderate pace. He jumped really well and has come on with every run this season.
Jane, and all the team at Culverhill have prepared and trained CASTELFORT so well; he loves his racing and is such an honest young horse. Ground permitting hopefully weβll see him out again this season.
Such a gorgeous, gutsy young horse π

Weβre off to with CASTELFORT today who contests the 14.10pm Victor Ludorum Class 2 Juvenile Hurdle.
Over just shy of 2 miles and with heavy ground, conditions should suit CASTELFORT who has won twice this season in similar conditions under regular jockey who weβre delighted makes the long trip north to continue the partnership today.
Jane and report CASTELFORT to be in great form at home. He loves his racing and has gained experience and grown up with every run.
Itβs only 18 days since his last run and he faces a very firm favourite, but you should never run away from one horse and, with only 4 runners, we hope CASTELFORT shows his class, continues his progress and, most importantly, comes home safe and sound.
We hope the members making the long trip north have an excellent day out!

CASTELFORT takes us to today to run in the 13.35pm Live in July Junior βNational Huntβ hurdle over 2 miles.
The ground is heavy, which CASTELFORT has run well on twice before, so holds no fear, and he ran a great race at the venue on debut.
He has been first and second from his two career outings and we are hopeful of another strong showing today although his task will be difficult with the penalty. Heβs still a youngster and has been green in his two starts, but all credit to him for running so well.
Jane and report him to be in good nick and working well at home and were pleased to have in the saddle.
Itβs a competitive race with some interesting looking newcomers, but we hope CASTELFORT continues his progress, shows his class and most importantly comes home safe and sound.

CASTELFORT heads to today to contest the 12.40pm Betting Introductory Juvenile Hurdle over 2 miles.
This is only CASTELFORTβs second start, after finishing a pleasing and encouraging second on debut, and weβre hopeful he steps forward and shows improvement.
CASTELFORT is the least experienced horse in the race and showed his inexperience on debut, but also showed his engine and quality and we hope that is evident again as he gains much-needed experience.
The soft ground should suit well, similar to what he encountered at Chepstow, and Jane and report him to be in good form at home. Weβre pleased to have in the saddle.
CASTELFORT is a lovely young horse, so we hope for another encouraging run, a continuation of his development and most importantly that he comes home safe and sound.
