Free, weekly, timed 2k parkrun for 4-14 year olds at 9:00am every Sunday. Open to all, safe and easy to take part in.

Well done to 41 amazing runners who crossed the finish line today!

Welcome to Faversham Junior parkrun for the first time to Blake, Isabella, Eidy and Jerome - it was great to meet you all and we hope to see you again!

Congratulations on amazing PBs for Austin, Alice, Quin, Avril, Jacob, Charlie, Toby, Olivia and Lyra. What are you all having for breakfast to make you go so fast? 😀

Thank you as always to all our awesome helpers including our young volunteers today Dawson and Edmund. We couldn’t do it without you! If you are interested in volunteering please do come and speak to the Run Director. There are lots of different roles and you don’t need to come every week. Some of our volunteers are regulars and some pop in from time to time and it is all appreciated and keeps our parkrun going and growing.

Reminder that Faversham Rec junior parkrun is cancelled this Sunday 6th Sept 2026 due to the Hop Festival. We're back next Sunday 13th as usual.
Our friends at Whitstable junior parkrun, Ashford junior parkrun, Sturry Road Community Park and Herne Bay would be delighted to see you on Sunday.

37 runners completed the course today it was great to see you all and we hope you had a good time!
Congratulations Peggy collecting your 10th parkrun milestone wristband and Ruby collecting your 150th! Grown-ups, if you go on the parkrun website you are also able to print a certificate and there are also milestone t-shirts available.
Thanks to 14 fabulous volunteers today we couldn't do it without you😃

Great running today everyone! WELCOME to our new runners Orion, Aubrey, Fenella, Everett, and Wilfred it was great to meet you all today and we hope you will be back soon.

Loads of PBs today - well done Cato (wow - blink and you miss him), Aaron, Violette, Roan, Miranda, Charlie, Henry, Arlo, Iris and Avril - you all just keep getting faster and faster.

See you next week - remember that parkrun carries on all through the summer except for the Hop Festival weekend (we know some of the grownups like a lie-in that day).

Thanks to all the volunteers - you are all rockstars and we couldn't do it without you! We always welcome new volunteers so if you think you'd rock a hi-vis vest come and chat to one of the Run Directors or send us a message.

Flying feet today at junior parkrun - 46 runners and 12 PBs!

We had a fantastic 59 children running at Faversham yesterday.

We were all excited to share our new milestone wristbands, and it was lovely to hand out so many.

Don’t forget to let us know if you think you are due one - remember you can now get one for volunteering or running 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200 and 300 times.

Who will be first to collect 300? It won’t be long as we are on event 253 and some of you have run most weeks since we started!

Please tell all your friends that we continue every week in the summer holidays, and let us know if you or your grown ups would like to volunteer one week!

57 brilliant runners zoomed round the course today. Welcome to first time runners Dexter, Isabelle, Willow and Oliver - we hope you had fun. Congrats on new PBs to William, Kora, Leonardo, Oliver, Dorothea, and Alexa - you all just keep getting faster and faster!
Thanks as always to our fabulous volunteers including visiting tourists from Maidstone Ian and Deborah. We couldn't do it without you all and always welcome new volunteers - just chat to the Run Director or send us a message and you'll soon be rocking one of our stylish high vis jackets.

G'day, mates! Weren't you speedy today! 70 runners bounded round the course, with 9 of ya finishing in under 9 minutes.

Altogether you've all run 16706km round the rec and if we added up all those kilometres we'd be all the way over in Brisbane, Australia! Awesome!

No worries if you're feeling tired now – you've earned a rest! See ya next week for the 250th Faversham junior parkrun. 🦘🇦🇺☀️

Did you know kangaroos can hop up to 72 km/h? Crikey!

Don't forget that we are CANCELLED this Sunday (7th) due to the fun fair being in the park.

If you would still like to do a parkrun on Sunday don't forget that we have other local junior events you could try including a new one at Sturry Road in Canterbury. You can use the same barcode and participating at another parkrun still counts towards your milestone wristbands.
