Hernhill Herons Hernhill Herons are a community focused, grassroots children’s football club. Everyone is welcome and we are always looking for new players.

Dawes Hernhill Herons Football Club is an FA Charter Standard Club established in 1992. We pride ourselves on being a community-focused club, with an emphasis on fun and positive development in a safe and supportive environment. We offer a wider range of training sessions for children of different ages and mixed abilities. As a community club, we encourage and need the help of parents, guardians and local volunteers to support the club. Our coaches are fully supported, and encouraged to gain their FA Coaching Qualifications, First Aid and Safeguarding courses. All Club Officials have successfully completed the DBS (formerly CRB) criminal records check.

💛U11 YELLOWS – FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON! 💙

Here’s our U11 Yellows having a well-earned rest after an end-to-end game on Saturday! ⚽️👏🏼

Our first game of the season saw us welcome Herne Bay Youth in a really close and competitive match, with both teams playing some great football. It was brilliant to see the boys working hard, battling for every ball and enjoying their football! 👏🏼💪🏼

⭐ Harvey – fantastic on the right wing, full of energy and involved in our first goal!

A huge shout-out to Leo too, who scored his first goal for us on his league debut! ⚽️🥅 What a way to start! 🔥

Congratulations to Max for being awarded Player of the Match. A great performance on the pitch and in goal, topped off with a double hat-trick! Well done Max 👏👏

Another huge congratulations to Phoenix for winning the Respect Award. An outstanding performance in his first league game. Well done Phoenix 👏👏

Their first game saw the team make the short journey to our friends at Herne Bay FC, taking part in the new 3v3 format.

It was a new experience for everyone involved — players, coaches and spectators alike — but one thing was certain: it was full of smiles, goals, teamwork and development. ⚽️👏

It was fantastic to see the players getting stuck in, learning, supporting each other and enjoying their football.

We can’t wait to watch this team develop and grow over the coming months. 💛💙

Our U18s gave a commanding performance on Saturday against a plucky Ramsgate side, with four different attacking players grabbing the goals.

Player of the Week goes to Luke. Part enforcer, part conductor, he won the physical battles, then dictated the game's tempo with the ball at his feet. Strong and dominant, he was the "Driving Force" for the team. Think Prime Patrick Viera.

The season starts here !
Our under 12 Blues kicked off the campaign at home to Deal. In what was a close match the Herons went down 3-1 in what was a battling display.
Deal played well and took the lead but Conrad with his first goal got the Herons back to 1-1. A penalty got Deal back to 2-1 and the Herons pushed and created lots of chances including from set pieces but ended up conceding a 3rd on the counter.
Max was supporters player and Harry was coaches player in what was a valiant effort from the whole team. 💛💙

⚽️ Minis sessions are back! ⚽️

It was brilliant to welcome our Year R and Year 1 children to a fun-filled Minis session on Saturday, with support from the Football Fun Factory.

The session was full of energy, engagement and enthusiasm, with everyone getting involved and having a great time! We’re already looking forward to our next session !

Well done to all involved but please tell your friends as we have more spaces!
