Wednesday women warriors.

Now im proud of how hard we've worked at Masons making it an inclusive gym for all. And whilst ladies are always welcome to come to the mixed classes and we always tell em they should. The fact is we realise as a gym women are for various reasons not always comfortable training with men and there's nothing wrong with that.

The women's only class isn't because there an after thought or considered a separate group, It's because martial arts should be for every one the ladies are just as important as the lads that train and we wanted to create a safe space where they can comfortably train with other like minded women. The ladies that train here come from all walks of life. And we realise as a gym catering for all is better than catering for a few and trying to make everyone fit inside the same box

There's a reason were the number 1 combat and self defense gym in the area. And the premier muay thai, k1 kickboxing and MMA gym.

Im too old to train!!! I hear this s**t all the time and honestly whilst age can be a factor in some exercises. And may require some adjustments in some fields. I genuinely believe we can always adapt a class to suit any age.

This silver haired fox on the screen before you is keith. This picture was taken from last weekend at the Brazilian jiu jitsu national masters championship. Keith is the coach off our Tuesday Brazilian jiu jitsu class for the gi and you will also see him attending a Wednesday no gi class with sausage.

Keith is 69 years of age and at the weekend he drove himself up to a competition to face a man much younger than himself for the championship in what can only be described as a superfight.

Keith is a bad ass and a man that deserves absolute repsect for showing ballsyness and true heart both testaments associated with our gym.
Myselfandd the team are very proud of him, well done Keith

Today we honour one of our own. Months ago a lad from well up north signed up to our gym whilst he spends a year down here for work. Jacob slotted into the gym family easily a respectful, funny and decent young man and a father. Who sadly a few weeks ago received awefull news no son can prepare for.
Lida sadly died suddenly following a tragic accident.

Lisa was cared for in the Critical Care Unit at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough during the final part of her life. Although our family were facing the most heartbreaking and difficult circumstances imaginable, we will never forget the incredible care, kindness and dedication shown to Lisa by the staff in Critical Care.

Every member of the team who cared for Lisa treated her with dignity, compassion and respect. They supported not only Lisa, but our family too, during a time when we were frightened, devastated and struggling to come to terms with what was happening.

We would now like to give something back to the wonderful team who cared for Lisa and helped our family through such an incredibly painful time.

We are asking family, friends and anyone who would like to support us to make a donation to the Critical Care Unit at James Cook University Hospital in Lisa’s memory. Every donation, no matter how small, will help support the unit and the patients and families who rely on the amazing work they do.

Lisa will be deeply missed and will remain forever in the hearts of everyone who loved her.

Thank you to everyone who donates, shares our fundraiser, or simply takes a moment to remember Lisa with us. ❤️

After a good undefeated n class thai record its time to jump shane up to his first c class experience
Shane has worked his ass of as usual whether doing his fight specific training or hyrox classes just for fun ( hes even done it without s**tting all over the arena floor 🤣)

We are absolutely gutted and devastated that this weekend the lfc show will not be going ahead due to issues with the venue outside of the promoters control

Connor, kieran, will and ash have all worked there asses off to prepare for this show and I am genuinely gutted for them and there opponents that they will not get to have there fights.

Thank you to everyone that was going to support them. So far I belive all are matched across different shows for november.
