Beer and Cider Festival this weekend at Folkestone Rowing Club 🍻 with live music on Friday, Saturday AND Sunday! See attached poster for details 🎉 Non-members welcome 💛

Sandgate Parish Council is applying for the beach at Granville Parade in Sandgate to be formally designated as a bathing beach - if this is successful, the hope is that the Environment Agency will do water quality testing at this location.

For the application, we need to do a count of bathers in the sea. We need to have at least 100 bathers a day, this is where we need your help, please.

If you are planning on doing a sea dip / swim on either Friday 22nd or Saturday 23rd August please could you do so in front of the Rowing Club / The Boat House between 7-9am or 12-2pm, as these are the 2 days we plan to capture as many people as we can. Thank you.

Regrettably, due to the arrival of a weather system from the Atlantic 🌊, we have made the decision to postpone the regatta on Sunday to a future date (tbc). Wishing everyone a lovely bank holiday weekend, watch this space for a new date! 💛

Folkestone regatta will be held this year at the club on 25th May, starting at 10.00am. As ever, the support of our sponsors helps us hold the best regatta on the south coast so why not adopt a race? Suitable for businesses, individuals or family groups, race adoption starts at only £30 for a sculls race, £60 for a pair or double and £120 for a fours race.
