We had a great time for our first ‘Thursday Theatre’ Outing, at Cardboard Citz; Me and Sally-Ann both compelled to get up on stage to sort out horrendous drama around housing. Gotta love forum theatre. People usually shy away from being a participating audience but they were flying on to the stage without hesitation. That’s the power of good theatre that matters. Lucy Freeman et al did a fantastic job. Really got the blood pumping…

Just to welcome oldcomers and newcomers to Drama Class this Thursday (1st of June) at 6:30 pm at United Reform Church. People have been checking if we are still open for drop-ins. We are! And will remain so until we are just too big to fit, which we'll take a while as we work in a lovely large space...

Another great Thursday Theatre Night at the URC. I am just amazed at the work the group are doing. And the huge laughs that are busting out of us during the session. But not all laughs. Some really gutsy work about prejudice and Brexit. Great way to release the tension we are all feeling about the snap election. It's such a pleasure. I am officially addicted. And a healthy handful last night in terms of numbers. All ye shy folks who think it is not for you, come and watch for free (we love an audience) then, if you feel inclined to, come try out for free... What's to lose?
Word of mouth has traveled fast and I am now getting lots of inquiries for 1-2-1 Mindfulness Sessions. Please contact me if you would like to book. 1-2-1 sessions face to face (as opposed to Skype) have a going rate of £50 an hour, but I am new to 1-2-1 as a facilitator and don't want to charge that much. The fact that it is going so well feels like a small miracle, and I have to own that 50% of the reason it is working is because of the people I have been fortunate enough to work with so far. Therefore, while I'm busy wondering if this is 1-2-1 Beginner's Luck it feels right to me to charge £20 an hour, but please know that whatever I charge I have a policy (and long may it last) of not turning anyone away for lack of funds. In other starker terms, I am still able and open to working with you for £0.
Hello Everyone, and Anyone,
Just to report that the Thurs Theatre group are doing some stunning work and I'm hugely chuffed for them. Numbers have been small but those who have been there on the night have worked with such enthusiasm and focus (often harder to do in a small group) that the room has felt full of rich potential for stageworthy material. I didn't think anything so inspiring would happen so quickly but I now feel we have reason to book a performance venue, toot sweet. Go Team! Please don't hesitate, come dip your toe in. No no need to perform until you are ready...
