A view into the history of Forres Golf Club ⛳

This historic photograph was taken from what would now be the 2nd tee, looking towards the former Cluny Hill Hydropathic Hotel.

In 1903, five time Open Champion James Braid designed the original nine hole course here, then known as Muiryshade.

More than 120 years later, golf is still being played across this same landscape.

Three days, three rounds guaranteed! ⛳

Entries are still available for our Seniors & Ladies 3 Day Open, taking place from Tuesday 15th to Thursday 17th September.

The competition begins with qualification on Tuesday, followed by knockout golf on Wednesday and Thursday, with consolation rounds and prizes ensuring everyone gets three rounds of golf across the event.

A great few days of competitive golf at Forres, with plenty still to play for even if you don’t progress through the knockouts.

NEW OPEN COMPETITION ⛳ Adult & Junior Open

We’re delighted to add a new competition to the calendar at Forres Golf Club, giving adults and juniors the chance to team up and take to the course together.

📅 Sunday 6th September
⏰ Tee times from 12:30pm to 2:00pm
🏌️ Greensomes format
👥 Pairs competition with one adult and one junior under 18
💷 Members: £10
💷 Visitors: £15

With space for up to 20 teams, get your pair together and join us for a great afternoon of golf at Forres.
