Our Safety Boat Crew are now recruiting. They are looking for additional volunteers to join them on the water next season. Full training will be provided throughout the winter months and there is generally a social event or two thrown in for good measure...

Regatta week has been completed, and several long naps have been needed. What an incredible week — words really cannot describe it.
Starting the week with incredible sail training class: 50 young people, 20 sea staff all taking part in the coastal races, with a BBQ at Gallants and plenty of socialising happening on the pontoons.
Tuesday brought the big winds. 25 dinghies took to the water, 18 of them with under-21 Gallants helms. Three dinghy fleets sailing alongside the Fowey rivers and Troys. They handled it brilliantly — with a LOT of capsizing!
Tuesday evening brought SUP POLO, where we continued our losing streak but made up for it with plenty of hysterical laughter.
Wednesday the wind calmed slightly (still plenty of capsizing and inverting, obviously!) and then came the main event… CARNIVAL!
Captain Jaz Sparrow and her salty sailors took to the streets and created chaos. Sorry if you got soaked — we bring the sea wherever we go! Absolutely incredible. 1st prize again! Can we do it for a 4th year?!
Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen; painting, organising, driving the quad bike, handing out sweets and water pistols… I genuinely couldn’t do it without you all. And thank you to everyone cheering us on from the sides!
Thursday brought a lovely day of calmness, with racing in the harbour thanks to the big winds outside, followed by an early night for all.
Friday — the big day! The final day of racing for the “grown ups”. The wind switched and dropped, making for some epic racing outside the harbour.
Then came the most important race of all… JUNIOR REGATTA!
29 under-18s, 22 dinghies and their very own course. Absolutely smashing it. Utterly incredible!
Saturday and Sunday = time for sleeping.
Thank you all for such an amazing week. Thank you FoweySailing and Fowey Royal Regatta - 3rd Week in August , and everyone who makes this incredible week happen.
Thank you to my safety boat crew, instructors, parents, volunteers and, most importantly, our sailors. You are all bloody brilliant.
Until next year… RIB 4 out.

RUSTY’S REGATTA 2026! 🎉⛵
A day filled with silliness, games and plenty of laughter!
We kicked things off with Oppie paddling, sailing and rigging races, followed by some seriously competitive art and sandcastle competitions.
Then it was time for the ultimate triangle ball race to finish the day!
And once again, Kieran and the Happy Hippos took the win! Will he make it four years in a row next time?
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a brilliant day!
