Satorishido Martial Arts & Broch Amateur Boxing Club both have serious vibes going on right now! π₯π₯
Thereβs just something special about seeing new faces walk through the doors every week, mixing in with the experienced crew and fitting in from the very start. The atmosphere across the club at the minute is unreal, and weβre proud to see so many people getting involved for so many different reasons.
Satorishido Kickboxing π₯
Our kickboxing team is currently one of the busiest and most successful competitive fight teams in Scotland, challenging for and winning titles all the way up to World level over the past year.
But this is not just a class for fighters.
We have people training for fitness, confidence, discipline, self defence, friendships and fun. We have kids building confidence week by week, adults pushing themselves in a new way, and students who simply love being part of the team.
Satorishido Karate π₯
Our karate has always been built around practical martial arts and useful self defence, but it has become so much more than that.
Adults, teens and juniors train every week to get moving, build confidence, learn discipline and be part of a safe, enjoyable environment. Some started out of curiosity and never looked back. Some have built friendships for life.
Weβre proud to offer Fraserburgh a karate class where practicality, safety and enjoyment all come first.
Broch Amateur Boxing Club π₯
The boxing club has seen so many new faces over the past couple of months, and our coaches are loving the buzz around the class!
Weβve had youngsters join as an extra sport away from football, only to fully throw themselves into boxing. So many of these young lads are already showing the attitude, work ethic and discipline needed to step into the ring later this year.
Giving teens a positive, structured and disciplined environment is something we take massive pride in.
Satorishido Judo π₯
It has been brilliant to see judo return to Fraserburgh through Fergus & our club over the last few years.
With weekly classes, gradings, competitions and students bringing home gold medals, Fergus has done a fantastic job building the judo side of the club and giving students another great martial art to be part of.

More member graft being shown! π₯πββοΈ
A huge well done to one of our Kickboxing Students and Assistant Instructors, Millie Duthie! ππ₯
Millie took on the Rubicer Broch 10K on Sunday for the second year in a row, and went into it hoping to shave a minute or two off her time from last year.
Safe to say she absolutely smashed that goal! π¨
Not only did Millie beat last yearβs time, she managed to knock a massive 8 minutes off it! π€―π₯
That is a serious improvement and a brilliant example of what hard work, consistency and determination can do.
Well done Millie, outstanding effort! ππͺ
We love seeing our members out there pushing themselves, whether itβs running at an event, lifting at a competition, stepping into the ring, or simply smashing personal goals in the gym.
If youβre a member and youβve been working towards something, completed an event, hit a new milestone, or achieved something youβre proud of, we would love to hear about it and share your journey on our socials! π
Drop us a message and let us celebrate your graft with the rest of the community! πͺπ₯

Member Appreciation Post ππ₯
A massive well done to 2 of our members, Keith Will and Stuart Smith, who both took part in the Peterhead 5K at the weekend! πββοΈπ¨
Keith, who is still fairly new to running and has only been at it lightly for around 3-4 months, smashed it with an impressive time of 24 minutes! π
Stuart finished just seconds behind him, making it even more impressive considering he hadnβt ran in years! Earlier in the week he had a chat with one of our PTs, Shane, about possibly trying running as he was thinking about Hyrox trainingβ¦ then when he found out Keith was doing the 5K, he decided to jump in with both feet and sign up too with 0 training! ππ₯
Both new to running.
Both first timers at a running event.
Both finishing sub 25 minutes.
That is seriously impressive! π
Respect earned lads, outstanding effort from you both! πͺπββοΈπ₯
Is a friend or family member of yours a member at the centre and taking part in running, fitness, strength or bodybuilding competitions? If so we would love to hear from you/them and feature them on our page and get them the well deserved credit they have worked for!

Another busy weekend for the fight team as we split across 2 shows, one in Dundee and one in Birmingham, with a weekend full of highs, lows, big performances and a fair bit of frustration along the way π₯π₯
First up, Dundee on the Skyaxe WKO Show π
Harrison Green stepped in for the biggest title fight of his career so far and grabbed the opportunity with both hands!
From the opening bell, Harrison took it straight to the home fighter, giving him absolutely no breathing space and setting a relentless pace. After 2 rounds of high pressure, including forcing an 8 count, his opponent decided not to come out for round 3.
Harrison Green wins the Intercontinental Title in dominant fashion ππ₯
A massive statement performance and a huge achievement!
Next up in Dundee was Arran Hendry, fighting for a European Title against the home fighter.
Arran started strong, putting the pressure on in round 1 before settling into his range in round 2, where he dropped his opponent. For some reason, no 8 count was given.
The home fighter then came back and caught Arran with a shot which dropped him, and Arran, as the away fighter, was given the 8 count. Arran got up absolutely fine, ready to continue, and was then bombarded with a dozen punches which were landing on his gloves.
Instead of being given another 8 count for not firing back, the fight was waved off there and then.
Madness.
On to Birmingham π
Kelly Reid had her first fight of the year and looked more at home in the ring than ever.
She put on a clinical pressure display in round 1, took a bit of a breather in round 2, then came out hunting for the finish in round 3 and came close to getting it a few times.
Kelly clearly and comfortably won rounds 1 and 3, but for some obscene reason one judge still had her losing the fight.
Thankfully, Kelly got the win by split decision π₯π₯
A brilliant performance and a well deserved result!
Next up was Caley Reid, who unfortunately was robbed for the second time this year.
Caley won rounds 1, 2 and 5 by a country mile. Round 3 went to the opponent, and round 4 could have been called a draw. Even if round 4 was given to the opponent, Caley had still done more than enough to win the fight.
Rounds 1, 2 and 5 were not close. They were not tight. They were not hard to call.
They were Caleyβs rounds, and that is all there is to say on that fight.
Full respect to all of our opponents this weekend. Anyone who steps through those ropes deserves respect, and every opponent we shared the ring with was respectful before and after the bouts π€
But it is hard for fighters to stay motivated and not get disheartened when they feel like they are not only fighting their opponent, but also fighting against referees and judges who are stacking the odds against them.
Proud of every single one of our fighters this weekend.
Big shout out to Logan Doyle from Fusion who was the fight just after Arran in Dundee and put a clinical display on hurting his opponent in every round and stopping him in round 5 for the European title!
As always thank you to all the coaches who give up their weekends with their own families to be there for the team and go away with their fight family β€οΈ
Also a thank you to the ICO Coaches Stuart & Ryan who helped our coach Ryan out in Dundee as well as the ICO Scotland's very own Tartan Army getting behind our fighters and cheering them on!
We keep showing up.
We keep improving.
And we keep fighting ππ₯

π₯ Class Timetable Adjustment, This Week Only π₯
Just a quick heads-up for all our Kickboxing and Boxing members.
Due to coaches being away this weekend with 4 of our fighters competing across 2 different shows, one in Dundee and one in Birmingham, weβve made a small timetable adjustment for this week only so both classes can still go ahead π
Usual timetable:
Senior Kickboxing
Thursday 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Boxing
Friday 7:00pm to 8:30pm
This week only, Thursday 11th June:

There will be no Friday night boxing this week, so all boxing students please attend the Thursday slot instead.
Friday Junior kickboxing will remain on as normal and grading forms will be handed out to all students who have handed in their licenses and passed all pre-assessments in the previous 2-3 classes.
Thanks for understanding and supporting the clubs as always. Big weekend ahead for the team, with fighters representing us in both Dundee and Birmingham. Letβs get behind them and wish them all the best! π₯π₯

π₯ Broch Amateur Boxing Club π₯
A strong start for our amateur boxers on Saturday night as the lads had their first outing under the new coaching team, and they did the club proud! π₯
First up was Tomas, who has been working hard in the gym after a couple of tough results and was determined to get himself back in the win column.
On Saturday night, he did exactly that! π
Tomas boxed smart, worked hard and took rounds 1 and 3 to earn a convincing win against a well-matched opponent from a strong Aberdeen club.
Well done Tomas, no doubt there are more wins coming this year! π₯
Our second bout of the night was an exhibition skills bout for one of our novice boxers, Liam.
Liam has been training with us for a while, but Saturday was his first real taste of action in the ring. He stepped in, handled himself brilliantly and gave a great account of himself from start to finish.
Even better, his first words after the bout were:
βWhen can I next fight?β ππ₯
Thatβs the attitude we love to see!
Well done lads, brilliant effort from both of you π
Broch Amateur Boxing Club is getting stronger every week, with the lads working hard on mastering the basics, building hand speed, improving movement and keeping sharp in the ring.
