We’ve had some amount of rain today! ☔️ Will do the green the world of good but not so good for today’s lessons 😩

Learning golf skills by playing games ⛳️ It’s how we do it at Dunes to keep it fun and engaging for the kids 🙌

Junior sessions don’t just happen… 👀⛳️

There’s quite a lot that goes on before the kids even arrive.

Mowing, measuring, marking out play areas, setting targets and, most importantly, thinking about how each game can help the juniors develop their skills.

We want them to learn, but we also want them to absolutely love coming to golf.

So rather than standing in a line hitting ball after ball, we try to create games and challenges where they are learning things like distance control, accuracy, touch and decision making, often without even realising they’re practising.

That preparation takes time, but when you see the kids completely absorbed in a game, competing, laughing and getting better at the same time, it’s worth every minute.

Our current junior coaching groups are completely full, so we’ve recently opened a waiting list for families who would like to hear about future spaces.

But for now… I’d better finish setting this lot up before they arrive. 😂⛳️
