Fraserburgh Golf Club is proud to welcome the country's brightest young golfing talent as host venue for the 2026 Scottish Boys' Amateur Championship , one of the most prestigious events on the Scottish golfing calendar.

From 15–19 July, the eyes of Scottish amateur golf will turn to the seventh oldest golf club in the world, where the championship's leading players will test their skills on one of Scotland's most authentic and respected championship links.

The event promises five days of outstanding competition, showcasing the next generation of golfers who will be looking to follow in the footsteps of many former champions who have gone on to enjoy successful amateur and professional careers.

For Fraserburgh Golf Club, hosting the Scottish Boys' Amateur Championship is both an honour and a reflection of the club's rich heritage and enduring reputation. Renowned for its natural links terrain, challenging coastal conditions and warm hospitality, Fraserburgh offers a true test of golf, demanding creativity, patience and resilience from every competitor.

Beyond the golf itself, the championship is an opportunity to showcase Fraserburgh and the wider Buchan area to visitors from across Scotland. A fantastic day’s golf at the Buchan Firkin 36-Hole Open.

The morning session proved to be a true test as players battled the elements in the morning, while the afternoon brought a different challenge of nerves.

In the Handicap section, local member Stuart Barclay produced a superb performance, following an excellent opening round of 72 with an 85 to claim the title by three shots.

The Scratch section belonged to Chris Lamb, who delivered two outstanding rounds of 67 and 67 in extremely challenging conditions to secure victory for the day.

Congratulations to both winners, and thank you to everyone who took part and helped make another memorable Buchan Firkin 36-Hole Open.
