Tackle shop on the Isle of Wight in Freshwater, based a few miles from the famous Needles lighthouse.We hope to provide a service selling good quality fresh and frozen baits and tackle with modern outlook only found in the freshwater sector of our sport at the moment!

A message from Andy’s Sister , Caroline , Due to a stock take and a meeting with the solicitor the doors will not be opened until at 11am at the earliest tomorrow, Tuesday 15th September, Please Don’t arrive earlier you’ll only delay proceedings, Also Andy’s Ashes will be scattered as arranged on the 19th September, Thankyou everyone..

I am the sister of the late Andy Barnes. We are scattering his ashes at Freshwater bay on the 19th of September at approximately 6pm. Everyone is invited to attend to say a final goodbye.

I will also be opening West Wight angling center on the 15th to 18th September 10am til 3pm, or by appointment if someone wanted to purchase a large amount. Everything will be half price. Please be aware it will be cash or bank transfer only as no card facilities. Everything will be sold as seen with no returns.

Update on Andy’s Passing.

Andrews ashes will be scattered at Freshwater bay on the 19th of September at approximately 6pm. All of his friends are invited to attend to say a final goodbye. Unfortunately we are unable to put a memorial bench as we had hoped as the local council has said no.

Funeral Update…….

Andy will be having a direct/Pure cremation After an inquest has taken place..
Andy’s Family have decided to possibly scatter Andy’s Ashes at freshwater bay in due course.
All of Andy’s Friends are all very welcome to attend and say our final farewells to the big fella, when a time and date has been decided I will update you all as soon as I find out ..

It saddens me to be writing this post , We lost a true Fishing legend yesterday, Andy Barnes, aka Da Boss Man, Andy passed away peacefully at his home, He was the soul creator and owner of West Wight Angling Centre for well over 10 years , His knowledge and passion for fishing and the fishing industry was truly amazing and inspirational, Our thoughts go out to Andy’s family and friends , RIP Big Fella …
