University of York Equestrian Club Whether you’ve never sat on a horse, or have been riding all your life, we’re the club for you Have a question for us?

The University of York Equestrian Club is open to anyone with an interest in equestrian sports. We have weekly lessons at Naburn Grange Riding Centre suitable for those who have never sat on a horse before through to advanced riders. There is scope to do flat work, show jumping, and hacking within the club. On top of this we run socials weekly and organise trips to equine events. We also have thre

e equestrian teams who compete in BUCS affiliated competitions throughout the year who train at Harrogate Riding Centre. We're a really fun, friendly club aiming to allow anyone and everyone the chance to learn to ride or improve their riding and most of all have fun and make friends! It may have been a minute since we’ve been together in York during term time, but our riding achievements certainly haven’t left our brains just yet. Just to make sure they don’t leave yours, here’s a visual recap of everything we got up to 2025/2026. Thank you, as ever, to everyone who rode, competed, groomed or cheered for us!

HACK ROUNDUP 🐴

Over the last year we’ve had some amazing hacks organised for both club and team members. 🙌🏻

We hope that reminiscing over these pictures can provide some satisfying respite in this hot weather and get everyone excited and thinking forward to all the amazing hacks we hope to continue next year! If you didn’t get a chance to go this year, (from personal experience) I’d highly recommend you find time if possible. We can run both novice and intermediate hacks so it’s easy to get involved.

As wellbeing champion she’ll be in charge of our weekly wellbeing socials, such as wholesome catch ups over coffee or library lock ins for some moral support. She’ll be there to help build our community even more PLUS work alongside Nadira to organise and deliver our weekly club lessons for all Naburn riders! 🙌
